Every Pansy that complains about the rubber banding is just that…..a Pansy lol. You aren’t racing against other racers in the game , you are racing against the track . If drive a perfect/clean race you can literally lap the opponents . If you continuously hit walls, miss shortcuts etc then the computer will catch up to you as punishment . You have to memorize the tracks and execute accordingly or the game will punish you for not doing so. In short , if you experience rubber banding it’s a SKILL ISSUE !! And nothing more 🤷‍♂️

I didn't own this game when it was new, me having been primarily a retro gamer since 1999, but 2 of my friends each had the Xbox version and playing it round their houses was VERY satisfying! I have the PS2 version now, but I still need to get my PS2 repaired or replaced! I hope I can find a working 30003 model system somewhere!

I had both console vers. and PC vers. The rubberbanding was outrageous on the PC vers. Legit didn't had problems on the PS2 vers. I think it's because it's trying to match it's system capability. (The game doesn't require a high PC)

Higher framerate = broken game logical algorithm.

Such a fun game but the damn AI makes it so tough! I'm 28 and I still haven't finished the game. Yet I've beat Most Wanted and Carbon multiple times over.

This game reminds me of a day I went at night to my friends house with my PS2 and we played Underground until the morning came. Good times

That intro almost makes me cry every time I see it now almost 15 years ago when I played it for the first time.

The amount of hours I spent playing this game as a kid was nuts..... Still holds up as my favorite NFS purely because it's what got me into cars, NFS and racing.

Also the soundtrack was fire

i love that in old games AI do mistakes, and you also can mess with them. i miss it in modern games, in most modern games AI drives back to back in a perfect racing line, which makes trains of cars, and you cannot mess with them, they like drive on rails and doesn't give a shit about you

I replayed this game last year to a point where I was so good that I unlocked the GTR before I was supposed to unlock it :D .. then I was like okay I beat the game :D
