What about changing things like the proportions? For example if you make a larger bulkier character and equip a chest plate it'll look a certain way, but if you make a skinny light character and equip the same chest plate it's going to look smaller.

ОтветитьThis is great, however after loading into the new scene then returning to the character select screen.. it is showing some strange results. Removing some of the sprites from the selectors? Despite the body parts being in the prefab.

ОтветитьWhen you can’t do this because your sprites are pixelated so you have to animate them through sprites and not anything else:
(Thankfully there are only 4 skin tones, 4 hair options, and then 9 color variations for the outfit that also changes the hair and eye in one option, so I can just animate the outfit once and change the colors then parent the object to the original sprite, or that would be how it works in theory but I don’t actually know how to use unity so parenting sprites might not be possible I’m more familiar with blender)

I'm making a game for my niece and she will be able to swap currency she collects in game to buy customisation options to "Dress up" the character.
But I suck at coding and could use a good tutorial 🙂
