For everone if you'd like a better build copy this build but change the muzzle and the stock and u can have high insane ergo with basically 0 recoil

I also had good luck early wipe with an SKS and the socom mount the adapter and a srvv break I found before I got the trade ended up with a pretty pimped SKS early on

I'm kind of surprised if they let you top load with the drums most AK drums you have to wind the spring. That being said it is a promag mag if memory servers me right. they could be different but I doubt it.

Nice one Airwing :) I use the OP SKS as a budget runner on maps like customs quite often. Just slap on a PSO and head in with a dream of a Chad that stays still for just a moment.

SKS was my mainstay early on. Then I started running the AKM. Now that I have BP Ammo on demand, I'm back to running my SKS.

It absolutely slaps. Great gun.

Sorry man but AKM with the same stats costs less. So SKA make sense only in base in the beginning of season.

Unfortunately the tapco stock isn't readily available if you're lower level and don't have mechanic lvl 2 unlocked...so if you're under lvl 20.

One thing you always seemed to miss is, that the OP Sks is worse in any way, once you unlocked the trade by mechanic. The normal SKS has way better accuracy and therefore is the only SKS you need to play if you reach mechanic Lv2

I've never seen anyone discuss the other glaring difference between the 2 SKS rifles, the OP one has almost double the MOA of the regular one.

SKS with a drum is a god tier budget gun. Off fence PS costs 108 rubles.

The SKS is a pretty decent rifle, but honestly I find myself preferring the 7.62 VPO instead 🤔 same ammo, comparable (if not better) stats, and better reload (faster animation and doesn't eject a round with every reload, plus the 30rnd aluminum mags have a buff to the packing speed). It costs a bit more, but it can be upgraded with basic attachments from LL1 traders, and can easily carry you through the mid-to-late wipe depending on the ammo you run (PS currently has the power to reign into the mid wipe before you start running into better armored players more frequently). Honestly I find myself using it way longer than the SKS since I'll only use a bare SKS to do tasks and farm money on the early wipe

I used to like it and run it a lot but it is just garbage at close range due to the recoil even with a meta build. Same with mid and long range, the scope goes all over the place so you better single head tap or you are pretty much fucked in a fair fight, getting that follow up shot is a bitch.

To my knowledge at lvl 2 traders the Akm(n)s outclasses the stock SKS in every aspect though.Thats mostly because the Gp25 is so op in the stats it gives. And it's also super cheap with 20k on flea.

This is the ultra budget build I've compared

SKS is 41 Ergo with 136 vertical with the budget 103 break and Kobra mount

Akms is 46 Ergo with 103 Vertical with gp25, 100 series Handguard 103 break and bastion rail.

So the AK holds 21 more rounds with full auto and the ability to add a foregrip.

No reason to run the stock sks over the super budget akms.

@airwingmarine Have you tried the PSO /EKP Kobra combo? Works on both stocks and is ugly but effectice.

you loose always a bullet when reloading the equiped weaopon and its not empty

nice video i know this probably wont get read or if it does take it with it constructively but when you talk about when sights look wonky canted on the front you should show a picture in picture of it on the right side of you like as your talking so it provides clarity and context for the people who don't wanna go in the hideout with their own build and see it for themselves its just a small ask but i really enjoyed this video on what kinda attachments i can put on the two different sks because i was wondering why the fab defence and tapco stock were different but didnt know how until now thank you papa marine

I liked the video man. I had already been using a cheap op sks with Kobra reflex and a suppressor for questing in insane maps like customs. But what I’m wondering is why would you put the money into tricking out the sks with the stocks and mags and variable scopes when you could just … get either a AKM or an RFB depending on your taste ?

I'm only halfway through, but I wish I had a guide this detailed when I first started. SKS is definitely a solid gun, and I ran it for so long.

I like to put the Socom fore end attachment with a canted red dot and dovetail pso scope.

One thing that is missed in this. When the SKS is top loaded or magazine reloaded, the chambered round is ejected. So if it is top loaded with BP as you only have a few of those, then throwing away 1 of them every time you reload gets expensive!
