He was delusional😢
ОтветитьJ'aime beaucoup Matt et il a prouvé sa valeur une fois de plus.
ОтветитьAs someone who got severe severe OCD over pandemic, this was cool to see someone otherwise brilliant still have the illness affect him badly
ОтветитьJimmy so happy
ОтветитьWhat mental condition did Chuck really have that made him think this?
ОтветитьThis is the moment Chuck McGill becomes The Faculty
ОтветитьIf this condition really existed. That would be a superpower basically, but it’s not.
ОтветитьOh my god that's Clea Duvall.
ОтветитьThe doctor's thoughts:
"He orchestrated it! "
There are people IRL who believe they have this as well
I say Believe because just like with chuck, it doesnt exist.
At least beyond mental
When someone has an actual pain response like chuck describes, certain parts of the brain flash on an MRI.
When its purely mental, other parts flash.
Thats why we know things like fibromyalgia, which dont otherwise have any way of detecting it, exist. Because the actual pain centers flare up.
"But how does it make it any less real?" I hear you ask.
Its a delusion
The brain has convinced itself of something being true and does everything it can to make it true
Its why in cases of mass hysteria sometimes people are prone to, say, heavy sweating and hot flashes at the suggestion that what they are suffering from includes heavy sweating and hot flashes.
Any time chuck Believes there is something giving off electricity, he will react and have those reactions.
But its not real. None of it is.
Itd be better solved with a good antipsychotic or other medication than just shutting his power off
This doctor knew exactly how to handle this. Certainly mental illness but put it to the test anyway.
ОтветитьMan, Clea Duvall is still smokin' hot lol
ОтветитьTwo brothers and two worlds where others go along with their story. Two manipulative people. Are the bad? Or are they good? Does it even mean anything?
Ответить"Electromagnetic radiation" is light, Chuck. Not electricity. Congratulations; you have thin skin.
Ответить🔥 nurse alert
ОтветитьStokely
ОтветитьClea Duvall.
ОтветитьAfter Jimmy went through all this bullshit for two years, Chuck still betrayed him in the most cowardly way possible. Think about how much could’ve been avoided if Chuck had shown even the least bit of love and support towards his brother.
ОтветитьIm currently rewatching this series and currently on this episode and I realiezed what the doctors said that came out truth in the end where chuck died due to his house burning down.
ОтветитьWas it ever explained in the show why chuck has this mental condition????
ОтветитьI had a lot of those same symptoms when I had Lyme disease that had gone un-diagnosed for about a year. Not all of them--but a lot of those same symptoms. It went away after receiving proper treatment.
ОтветитьDr Cruz is one of the few sensible people in the entire BB universe. I mean look how smartly she convinced Jimmy that Chuck's problem was never physical.
ОтветитьThis is the same Dr. Cruz that Chuck saw later in the series to "get help", so to speak? At least, I think she is.
ОтветитьJimmy should of had him committed. He might of gotten the help he needs
ОтветитьSlippin Chucky 😂
ОтветитьJimmy really did everything possible to take care of his brother - Jimmy knew he owed him a lot.
But, in the end, Chuck resented Jimmy regardless. A long rooted resentment, that was Jimmy's fault in some ways, but Chuck's in many other ways.
Iron level in his blood too high😊
ОтветитьWhat a sick joke!
ОтветитьFor some reason I don't remember Clea Duvall being on this show
Ответить“Make sure you still have your wallet”
AHaHaHaHa
“Doc…grab the crash cart”
Are you telling me that a man just happens to react to electricity that way? No! He orchestrated it! Jimmy!
ОтветитьChuck is the most realistic portrayal of mental illness I’ve ever seen. He’s still a functioning adult who’s accomplished a great many things, and it’s the mental illness that screws that up. Too many shows and films go immediately in the schizophrenic psych ward direction or the 13 Reasons Why melodramatic misunderstanding direction. We’ve all seen or known a Chuck.
Ответитьis the a Veep crossover episode?
ОтветитьAre you telling me that a hospital bed just happens to turn itself on like that? No! She orchestrated it! Dr. Cruz!
ОтветитьSchizophrenia or schizo spectrum disease
ОтветитьFun fact: Originally the doctor was going to be Marie, but the director thought the audience would focus too much on Marie returning rather than the info being given about Chuck's illness.
Ответитьlove Clea Duvall
ОтветитьI have an insane neighbor with this exact condition..it's bad. Covered the exterior of his house with sheet metal panels and hasn't had electricity for 17 years..
ОтветитьKim looking good here.
Ответитьleave the wallet comment i would've left him there for the oversimplification comment.
ОтветитьOh my god! It's the president!
No wait, she turned around, it's just her body guard.
This scene really shows just how arrogant Chuck is. He won't even consider the possibility that his condition is in his head because he's unwilling to believe someone as brilliant as himself could be fooled by his own mind. Would rather believe medical understanding was behind.
ОтветитьThis was where i finally found out it wasnt real
ОтветитьThe doctor's hot
ОтветитьHe does have a condition. It’s not electricity that’s causing it. It’s brain dysfunction leading to misfiring of panic signals, leading to the sssociation of very real panic sensations with paired physical objects. It’s not a electric disease but a brain disease.
ОтветитьChuck is such an egoist. Literally telling a doctor that he knows more about mental and physical illness than her.
ОтветитьI'd like Chuck's doctor to give me an "exam" if you know what I mean
ОтветитьChuck is so logical otherwise so I really don't understand why he has such a hard time accepting his mental illness
ОтветитьI wonder what would happen if early on they tried to convince Chuck it's all mental, it seems easy enough. Put him in a room that switches power, or have him put his hand in boxes, show him he has no way of actually detecting it.
Of course, since they let it go on for more than a year, that's probably reduntant now, and would just drive him even more crazy. But early on, before it basically became his whole life, maybe it would've worked?
