If you have a 13th gen i5 or i7, it is not worth upgrading to 14th gen. If you're on 12th gen or older, get the i7 14700k as it's a tad faster (And a tad more expensive) that the 13th gen i7, with an additional 4 e-cores which will help with productivity applications.

14th gen is just an overclocked 13th gen

If you own a lower end sku from 12th or 13th gen, it might be a good choice for all the extra MT while costing lik 20usd more than the 13700k, but if you have something like the 13600k or higher, not really that much reason unless you need more MT performance. Gaming wise it's just a 13900K
