What is the small strip of white tape at the bottom of the stick? Does it help rebound or vibration? I know about the tape on top half, but why on the butt end?

I'm probably going to get a lot of hate for this but whatever. I hate too many visuals. One here and there, ok. But this is just asinine. It takes away from the actual playing. Play the fucking drum. If I want to see flips and spins and shit I'll go watch the majorettes (more than I already do).

I can remember back in 86 in the 26 standard rudiments book and seeing the great dr John Wooten on several pages. I need to get my book and and get back to studying. Dr Wooten your a beast!

I can’t get my line of pearls to sound good up close like this. They sound really amazing far-away but up close sound very crappy
