Thanks for the look into the past. That was a great kit, aside from those tires.
ОтветитьI think I have a mid eighties release that was molded in pink, Thanks for the look, I like the kit considering when it was first issued.
ОтветитьThe kit is in remarkable shape for it's age. Even the paper isn't yellowed. Very reminiscent for me of my dune buggy build in my icon. The chassis very similar. The tires are a pain. I ended up having to use some kind of special super glue made for vinyl. But still a seam shows. I like your real VW too. Love the matching red wheels!
ОтветитьAre you gunna build it???? Im a vw mechanic and LOVE vw's....... the gear box is not a irs its a swing axle irs is different SORRY to inform you.. i had that kit when i was a kid now i wish i still had it LOL
ОтветитьThat's one cool kit would love to snag one of those !!!
ОтветитьCould even be a late 67 or 68 my brother in law has a late 67 with them bumpers and my mum and dad have a 68 with them. They're valued at £9,000 each car
ОтветитьI love volkswagen beetles. There my favorite car
Ответитьkool
ОтветитьI love VW
ОтветитьThank you again for this review. Helped me BIG TIME!
ОтветитьI had a '65 VW Baja Bug in high school (early 80's) painted the same orange as this kit; competition orange. The car on the box art says Riverside, California which is about 30 minutes from where I live.
Ответить1300 was '66 only. That was the year of the Beetle that I had. Also the last year for the covered headlights, and last year for the "plumber's nightmare" bumpers. ( edit: '66 was the last year for the 6-volt electrical system)
ОтветитьNice kit and review. I have a 74 VW Bug.
