I had an opportunity to visit Dubai a few years ago. The city and the story behind is really inspiring

What if the US kept enough money from
It's resources to pay for its government. Dubai did. Bang no taxes.
And no democracy.

With the introduction of a 5% sales taxes, and a 9% corporate tax in the UAE from 2023, I think it's the start of a wave of taxes and tax increases in the UAE, as well as the start of the end of Dubai as a growth city. The announcement of taxes in Dubai was probably the point in which Dubai peaked. It's sad but it seems that owning all the oil and land in that country wasn't enough for the rulers... Guess they also need to own people, their businesses and their production

First world islamic countries are good bets on the future. Zero tax is attractive for sure. In the west you are a feudal tax slave or worse, a debt slave.

How seriously I have considered going to a no tax country for good... America the country which I love has gone stupid what I work for does not belong to politicians. The cost of education has gone crazy...I am paying for a better education than the gov't allowed me to give my child... so I taught him myself. GOVERNMENTs are just stupidly taxes us to poverty... I am out, had enough, looking for solutions.

I can't wait to someday move from the US to Dubai. Taxes are starting to finally get a little out of hand here and the ideology is even worse.

Got a question.. Now Dubai has to get the same amount of money from somewhere and you explained that they charge a percentage on each sold product...
This sounds very tempting. But wouldnt make this all the products much more expensive and thus not competitive with products from abroad... just asking no critisism

Yes they stopped $0 tax programs. but at that time the video is accurate.

The US has over 800 military bases outside of the US all over the world. Taxes paid for this. Dubai has zero. I am Irish, I’m not particularly fond of America, but their military presence around the world protects Western lifestyle and ideals. Would you rather live and pay taxes in Russia and China? Didn’t think so

For anybody who thinks being treated like a slave in Dubai is not attractive here is something to mull over. The USA Government could care less about you too. They will arrest you for not paying federal taxes and suspend your drivers license if you have not paid any state level taxes - either as an employer or employee. Taxes have become a legalized 'Mafia or Cartel' that only line the pockets of government pension funds (mostly) - that's a fact. Many government workers will receive nearly $100,000 for their annual pension plan. $100k - cops in California, for example will get this and NYC but it goes well beyond that too. California is the worst state to live in because they will tax you for everything. NY and CT are next.

@Patrick Bet David I am not sure if you heard but this video is dated. Dubai introduced 5% VAT in Dubai from 2018 and that has caused businesses and old timers to leave the country because their business couldn't sustain with the 5% tax. Could you please do an updated video on this topic? The impact of a country without taxes introducing taxes.

Time to update please because they have moved to introduce VAT. However, from my experience (10+ years there) it is the greatest place to do business.

This video is proof that our great ancestors of 1913 have failed us by letting the leaches develop. look at that gorgeous beauty of a city created by innovation and creativity. look at America it looks like a 3rd world country compared to it. 40k a year average income, 35-50% is used for living expenses 16-30% income tax, 10-20% property tax, fuel tax. If you are poor u stay poor.

The principle of taxes is citizens contribute money for the betterment of society. However taxes are now for the benefite of the government leaches and the military. One of the main reasons this country fought a revolution was for unreasonable taxes. The US was supposed to resemble Dubai in some way.


yes programs and roads are not free. but Dubai's system for funding their infrastructure is pure genius.

I think this is a good example of having your cake and eating it too. Dubai is a great place for the rich but not a great place to settle down and live a normal life. I hope to have the wealth to visit there before the boom is over but i'm also interested to see how the city looks in 30 years.
