Hi, could I pair 2 hue dimmer switches (the remote ones) with one lamp simultaneously? I have a long entrance hall and need to have 2 keys on both sides of it.

I really like the SENIC because it doesn't rely on batteries and it's simple (but expensive). I think it would be awesome if someone would release a hue switch that replaced standard light switches in the hue system, but used power from the switch box. No batteries and it lasts forever. I'm an engineer and I guess there's something OCD I have about using something that's going to fail unpredictably in 3 years and possibly leave you in the dark. So I guess the SENIC is the closest.

Just came across your videos! Do you have any experience with wired smart switches that work with hue? I want to be able to turn off my dumb bulbs using a smart switch since there are so many bulbs I would need to replace. I can't find anything out there that will work with HUE.

The designers at Phillips need to be slapped upside the head for not making their dimmer remote fit inside a normal 1-gang, 2-gang, 3-gang wallplate. For the life of my I can't understand why they didn't think of this. I don't want to attach that thing next to my existing wall plate. I want it to replace what's already there. And I want it to be a dimmer and not just a switch like that new wireless switch thing that uses your existing switch.

I'm in the process of setting up my Hue bulbs (2 in bedroom and 2 in living room) I use a bridge as well. I was just wondering if the Hue dimmer would be the best and easiest way to have a controller on the wall. There are so many options that I'm a bit confused. I just want to be able to tap the wall unit to turn lights on and off and have setting but without using my phone each time. I'm assuming I can set one controller to control my bedroom and one controller to control my living room, correct? Thanks for the great video.

I know this video is a year old but the Lutron Aurora dimmers are actually a godsend for my current setup and I didn't even have to mess with cables or anything. I don't have to worry about ppl messing with light switches. Really appreciate the content!

Can any of the dimmer switches you reviewed be set up where two different dimmer switches control the same light or group of lights? In other words can they be set up light a 3-way switch controlling the same light or lights from two different locations? Are there any options to do this that do not require a dedicated bridge?

Hi Justin, I just moved into a new flat and the bedroom has two ceiling pendant lights on each side of the but it doesn't have switches to turn on/off the lights next to the bed... the switch is quite far from the bed actually :(

I was thinking to change the bulbs of the pendant lamp for smart bulbs and get two Philips Hue Smart Buttons and stick them each on them both sides of the bed and then connect each button to each bulb. my question is how are the switches connected to the smart bulb? is it via Bluetooth? or via wifi? do you know any other solutions in the market to fix my issue? what happens if by mistake I turn off the normal switch do I have to set up the bulbs and the little hue buttons again?? thanks in advance!

I was hoping Philips Hue would release an A21 color bulb (100 watt equivalent). I’m confused as to why they haven’t yet (or if they ever will). How hard could it be? Wiz has one...

Hi Justin,
Thanks for your videos on Hue, love it (specially the one with the interview).
You’ve talked about the Hue Lab and the fact that you have contact with people from Hue/Signify... Could you ask if one day, Hue Lab scenario might be accessible to HomeKit via the Eve app or the Home+ app for example ? Through Homebridge, it’s not really possible. Example of what I’ld love to do is to launch a dynamic scene like flashing lights or switching lights between blue and red when my alarm is trigger...
Can’t wait for your next vid’ !
A French fan.

The wall switch module is probably battery powered because they may want to keep all accesories 110v-220v agnostic. They already have to produce two versions of each bulb (for 110v countries and for 220v countries) but accesories are universal.
