I believe Walt Disney would be horrified of how expensive the parks are now! No park is worth 155-165 a day!

If you are a Target Card Member, their automatic 5% discount also applies to Disney Giftcard, which means you can get a $100 giftcard for $95. Even better, from December 2nd-3rd, gift cards are 10% off. Then that 5% off applies after on top of that 10% off. It’s just in time for my trip hehehee

My mom, and I, went to Walt Disney World in 2004. I bought a Pal Mickey just because I knew that I would fall in love with him.
I'm bringing a poncho and umbrella with me. I'm also buying a popcorn bucket because I know that I will use it after my trip. I'm staying at All Star Movies because I'm only going to be there to swim and sleep.

I disagree about the lollipops, they are totally worth it. You can get, like, 15 desserts worth of pure sugar high out of ONE lollipop. Now that's getting your money's worth.

I thing the babbitt Bobbitt boutique and the Cinderella castle restaurant are the worst. I try to only get the prepackaged ones at the orlando airport. I like to eat it on the plane. I will say though the balloons are a good suggestion fir wheel chairs. Makes people less likely to kick you (they do)

Pre-covid, we went to WDW every year. It wasn't cheap, but the service and quality of the experience was worth what you paid. Today, it's more expensive, many services no longer exist (eg. Magical Express) or you have to pay extra (eg. Fast Pass), and some perks only go to those staying at the highest end resorts. It's no longer a family friendly place, just a money pit.

If you're going to keep rechecking flight prices be sure to do it in an incognito browser. Otherwise they know you want that flight and the prices will only go up.

It’s our first but maybe our only and we’re still trying to stay within our budget but we wanna try some things!

We use park hopper so we can spend the morning in a park and then go somewhere else for dinner. Epcot has the best restaurants over all imo so we often park hop there in the afternoon to ride some rides and eat a nice sit down. This is one example of how we use park hopper to our advantage.

I always get the park hoppers because when we go to things like animal kingdom, or Hollywood studios, they close earlier than the Magic Kingdom or Epcot and even on days we go to the Magic Kingdom or Epcot as a main park. We can go to the other one for lunch or for an hour or two, and to do some thing and then just go back the best food is always at Epcot and we also looked at the Magic hours to plan our vacation in advance

When we went as kids at disney we were only able to buy ONE souvenir. It was amazing and to this day we sherish the momeries way more then the material ( we dont have those souvenirs anymore). I thank my parents for us not being materialistic because to this days it still follows us and i guess the planet thanks us too haha.

I don't think I have ever booked a flight way in advance. Usually booking about three months out is best for price, unless you are booking with a carrier like Southwest, in which case you probably do want to do it early. However, when we went to Disneyland, I kept an eye on the prices and wound up scoring a steal of a deal going to John Wayne about four months out. We usually get the best deals for what we want with American, booking through a site like Orbitz. They may not have the cheapest upfront cost, but when travelling with kids I don't want to use Spirit, because they won't guarantee that the kids will be seated with you unless you pay extra for seat choice. So by the time you have been nickled and dimed, have you saved anything? I would rather book with a company that actually cares about families having a good experience and will put kids and parents together.

My biggest issue with park hoppers is you have to buy them for every day of your stay. I'd do it for one day, but generally we just like to do one park per day. And it most definitely isn't worth the cost to spend a bundle for a family of four for four or more days. Just go to one park each day and be done with it. .

Disney sucks big time now. I am so happy we got to go in its heyday before they used the parks as a cash cow and stripped all of the perks from the resorts and parks. R.I.P. Disney. 😢

I spend the most on souvenirs, and I basically buy 95% pins, because, firstly resell value makes them worth it, and then also I collect them, and they’re easy souvenirs to walk around with in the parks, but I’m also a crazy collector and spend $1000s in the parks on pins lol

Cost me a thousand dollars just to get my family thru the WALL surrounding the park, keeping out the peasants, and we spent half the day WAITING in line for dumb pirate ride. Never again. The most evil money hungry corporation in the world. Spending money on the ticket itself is a waste of money.
