At age 17 for me:

- I was in love with a girl who wasn't into me, but her sister got her phone pretending to be her & completely destroyed my trust for any relationships. I had gotten her a necklace around Christmas time & asked her to go to our high school Christmas dance. She said we could go as friends but her sister insisted on coming with us. We both were juniors her sister was a freshman. What 17 year old boy would turn down taking a girl & her sister to a dance? It just made it worse when the girl I loved said it was her sister texting me & "leading me on" the entire time. We never dated. Never held hands, kissed, etc. It ruined me. I never wanted to date after that experience. A girl came to me at age 22. I gave her a chance & am now married with a family. I never dated any other girl. I don't have any exes. That experience turned me off the whole dating thing.

- I played high school football & got a terrible cheap shot to my knee & tore 3 ligaments, had 2 surgeries, & lifelong screws in my knee with months of excruciating rehab.

- My grandfather committed suicide.

17 was literally the worst year of my life. I'm just a few days shy of 32 & nothing as remotely came close to my horrific experience at the age of 17. This song just brings back terrible memories for me. I also do not like country music. I came across the video somehow & felt the need to share that age 17 was the worst year ever for me. I definitely don't want those memories.
