FFIX - Battle Theme 2 / Boss Theme Remake

We all have to admit, we need an FFIX remake! In an era that has no new ideas, this direction is the best possible scenario

I think this uses Insanity's vocals sped up from the Innocence fight in FFXIV but I could be wrong. They sound almost similar. Spoilers for Shadowbringers btw

I just listened to this for the first time. I always thought that FFIX battle and boss themes are bland compared with 7 and 8. This remake gives the theme so much volume. Before was just a theme from a game. Now it is music from an adventure. I love it.

don't like it that much too "operaized" if you will. why does everything need to be like synphonic music with chanting in the background? Not for me

So every ff remake is going to be epic orchestral? I was tired of it after ff15 crammed it down your throat for the leviathan fight.

Ff9 needs an older touch, much like the theme of the games entire design.

I cannot stress enough just how hard this arrangement slaps. I usually find that fan-made arrangements are overly busy/noisy but the instruments and sound levels here are balanced perfectly, you retained all the rising and falling tension of the original and I love all of the additional motifs you added which compliment the melody. The bridge which uses the FF IX theme is just exquisite. A very skilful and respectful remake.

I've been looking for a remake of this epic battle song... this isn't epic. It's legendary.

This is literally a remix from Final Fantasy Record Keeper.

This is like a mix between KHIII and VII remakes' battle themes.

This music is the one that ended up being used in the Voice mod "Project Terra" and it is epic

🙌 🙌 To me, this is fucking great. I met that Square won't top this in the remix of FF9.

Dropped FFRK during the Magicite Wheel and Dark Odin era (got only 4/8 Six-star magicites before getting burnt out and calling it quits) so I didn't reach the point where this was released, it would've been amazing if had first hand experience.

One of the best FFRK remixes and a refreshing one at that after all the Contest of Aeons, Battle of the Big Bridge, Man with Machine Guns, and Let the Battles Begin remixes have run its course.

That said, the original is still better and is easily the most difficult battle theme to improve on given how perfect the original Battle 2 is.
