For those who are having troubles keeping the "Open Crate" from dropping all of the coal at once or repeatedly, simply build a redstone system up so that way a redstone piece is ontop of the hopper. (IT should take 5 redstone pieces to get it to function.)

For anyone who is playing Revelation/version 1.12.2 (and possibly earlier) and is trying this set up with only 2 redstone it does not work. The hopper won't "stop" and will keep dropping items even if the redstone is lit up from something being on the pressure plate. You need the third redstone - place it on the other side of the random block you choose (so it "goes over" the block) and then the hopper will work as expected. Other than that one difference because of version, this series is great!

A buddy of mine and me just started out playing a huge modpack.
Since I wanted to try Botania in the past, but never did, I really appreciate these videos cause when you're playing with friends, it's always kinda annoying to sit around for hours and just think on stuff basically. So having this video play on my second monitor parallel to playing the game is super helpful.
Very concise video. Detailed and slow enough on every step that I don't need to go back even if I'm doing other stuff. So basically perfect for having it on my second monitor while only half concentrated on it. But not explanation felt so slow that I got tired of it. Basically you nailed it in my opinion. Perfect pace for a guide you would wanna listen to while gaming yourself.

Probably doing something wrong but my Hopper just spews everything out instead of one at a time.

You can try HarvestBlock, it is really underrated but acually fun!

I don't think you need a timing machine for the coal blocks, just 6 minutes of patience:

Place the the 3 flowers and the dispenser as in the video.
Toss 1 block in the middle. Flower 1 begins consuming.
Wait two minutes, toss in block 2. Flower 2 starts consuming.
Wait another 2 minutes, toss in block 3. Flower 3 starts consuming.

Now load the dispenser system with blocks of coal. 1 will fall on the slab immediately and be consumed in about 2 minutes. Then the next falls, and is consumed 2 minutes later, etc etc

If I need one colour but there aren’t any flowers of that kind nearby, are there no other ways to get more?

Botania is the best mod ever created in the history of ever! I've been playing with it for years!! The mechanisms and particles and items and just overall look i mean everything really it's just flawless! I don't respect modpacks that don't have Botania! HAHAHAAHA!

A little Botania + Create thing: using the Orechid and drills from Create, you can make an automated ore generator. Just need to make stone.

I just found your channel and I pretty much binged this series. I absolutely love the botania mod for Minecraft. And my favorite colours for my wand of the forest is purple and red. 🙂

I’d prefer the Halogen mod for Forge (or the Sodium, Lithium, and Phosphor mods on Fabric) to Optifine, they blow it out of the water and don’t clash quite as heavily with mods.

it starts out so simply, and gets so not simple. i've never really gone past the very early stages because there are so many other options that are either much easier, or imo, more interesting. i never understood why people love it so much.
but because they do, i've always felt i need to go through it, so maybe i will in enigmatica 6. well, maybe not ALL the way through, but you know.

Corporea is way better with botania addons but I don't think they're ported to 1.16

I think after you add water to The Petal Apothecary you can right-click with empty hand to craft the last recipe you crafted and just throw in the seeds which is useful for early-game mass-producing of flowers.

My vote is on a orange pedal apothecary

my color combination for the wand is purple/lime

Why did you nor crafted the floral fertilizer? Saves you alle the running for the flowers...
Can also be crafted with vanilla red und yellow ;)

Here's the problem I see: Nothing was gained during this half hour, just Botania playing with itself.
