G600 is one I have used for a very long time. Even when not playing mmo's the side button functionality and familiarity has been so helpful for any activity that you use number keys for. Such a wonderful mouse that is not too expensive nowadays

I love this mouse and have bought two in my history. Just beware that it can stop working if too much cat hair gets in the wheel, but you can easily unscrew the bottom and disassemble it without any experience really and de-hair it. Cat hair issues aside, love this mouse a lot, and used it for a variety of meticulous games.

MMO mouses make it easy for sure, however if your into hardcore pvp in MMO's your gonna get a sour thumb with those. I would still think your hands are better designed to take that stress than a single digit in your hand. But yeah casual pve this MMO mouses are good from my experience.

The Logitech G600 mouse has become irreplaceable for me. It surpasses all its competitors in the market. Once you adapt to it, you immediately notice its in-game superiority. Its ability to provide lightning-fast reactions in-game is astounding, leaving your opponents unable to keep up. All thanks to the dynamics of the Logitech G600 mouse. Highly recommended!

I was considering picking up a MMO mouse. I was wavering between another Razer (I have a Basilisk V2, avoid it, as the scroll wheel will jump due to a janky encoder you'll either have to replace or find something to put between the encoder to stop the jumping), a Steelseries Scimitar, or Logitech. The G600 just kind of came out of nowhere when I was googling. People have sung the G600's praises high and low. So I guess I'll be going with that one! Plus, since I'm going back to Eorzea again... I definitely want a MMO mouse for healing and general Black Mage and NIN shenanigans.

I used razer mamba for years, and I always recommend against it. Drivers for it suck, the software provided doesnt work and resets every now and then - and the mouse itself, it loses tracking VERY often, so you gotta wait like 10 seconds for it to connect back, even wired.

Bought logitec and boom, it just works. Greatly even, for much cheaper too

G600 is probably the best MMO or otherwise macro mouse to ever exist. For some reason other manufacturers really dislike the idea of ring finger button which used to be standard in the 90s... this is my go to mouse for gaming and work - easy access to dozens of shortcuts in Blender is INVALUABLE. I've got 5 of these bought and stored just in case they stop producing it, solely because despite how old it is, there are simply no replacements in sight...

Unfortunately PlayStation can’t read additional mouse buttons+modifiers.
They can be programmed to single keys and the PlayStation can read them. But the second you hold down shift and try to press a mouse button, it doesn’t register.
Currently using a razer turret and it’s good, but I do miss playing mmos at a computer desk, since there is so much more customization available to pc users.

I used to have a G600 about ten years ago. It was really comfortable and durable. I'd like to put an emphasis on durable because ever since it broke (after about four years of extensive daily usage), I was never able to find a different MMO mouse that did the job as well as the G600. The worst one by far has to be my Razer mouse. I have had nothing but bad experience with Razer and I'm by no means some logitech fanboy or anything, if anything I'm really disappointed by the Logitech G910 keyboard. But yeah, I think the G600 was the best mouse I have ever owned and I think if the quality is still the same and the mouse is still available I'll just get it again.

People who didn't learn touch typing and effective keybindings, yet play mmos for years, become skilled at the dysfunctional mechanics they develop. After years of that, it becoms too punishing experience to try to learn to do it properly, so they remain stuck in suboptimal playstyle.

Yep, as I'm watching this, my Razer Naga X scroll wheel is broken; I was able to sort of remedy it by cleaning it, but it never felt right again and the problem keeps reappearing. I use the scroll wheel a lot and the mouse is useless if it's not reliable and randomly keeps scrolling the wrong way. So far it seems G600 seems like a solid choice, will give it a try.

The second RMB being my CTRL modifier is big in addition to the 12 thumb buttons. However, the G600 has the worst ergonomics out of the Logitech mice I've bought (G502 and Superlight are my other two mice). Given it is the cheapest of the three, it doesn't surprise me, but I'd rather pay $50-60 for a better G600 than $35 for this current iteration that in addition to the lack of ergonomics is also built with cheaper plastics.

So nice to see the G600 is still getting some love after so many years on the market. It's true that it takes some time getting used to, especially for people that never used a true MMO mouse before but honestly once you get the hang of the size, shape and that sweet 3rd button on top, the G600 is just the best when it comes to functionality. Yes, it's wired, a bit heavy and not really customizable unless you're into DiY stuff... but damn, having 8 full action bars (96 buttons) accessible under my thumb?!? That's simply God tier MMO gear and wouldn't play at all without that now. ;P

My current mouse is almost the same size as G600. I have small hands and my biggest concern is that I wont be able to reach all the buttons with my thumb. How long is your thumb and index finger? I believe I will only reach the first 3 rows with my thumb comfortably.

Been using my G600 for about 10yrs by now. G-shift button stopped working like 3 yrs ago. Right click stopped working last year and left starts to lose input or double input earlier this year. But hey there's still 12 more buttons to cycle thru 😂. But I'm considering buying G502 bcs spam right clicking at side button on an action game makes the side button wears off quick. I bought it only at Rp600k but now it's not on official retailers and they sell it for Rp1.000.000+ zzz

Pls remake G600, Logitech. No need to change anything, just upgrade the switches and it's perfect.

So, I was playing potd lately and using alt/ctrl shortcuts is kinda breaking my fingers a bit. People in chat advised your video about the G600 mouse, however, I can't fdind it anywhere, as it seems they no longer produce it.
The only analog I was able to find from Logitech is G604, tho that one is a wireless and has less buttons. There is, ofc, Razer Naga X or Redragon Impact but I don't know if I should bother with those or not, as you did mention that Razer tends to break fast...
Any other mouses you can advise?

Any recommendations for a gaming mouse with a lot of buttons on the side so I can play games. And the side buttons need to be programable (I do a lot of Cad so I end up using the side buttons to run certain commands instead of swiping across the tool bar to find the command)

@Galiant2010
@Galiant2010 - 04.10.2022 19:22

I started playing MMOs around 2011 with WoW and within the first week I decided I needed an MMO mouse because the button combos were so weird. Idk if it's some weird interaction with my brain after 10 years of playing piano and I hated the awkward reaching on the keyboard and that the MMO mouse is so organized like the keys on a keyboard. I bought the G600 ($80 at that time) and have used that for the last 10 years through WoW, SWTOR, GW2, STO, and FFXIV. As well as just loving the extra convenience of programmable buttons in other games like Fallout or Elder Scrolls for quick access buttons. And it's become so extremely normal that I now use the buttons to enter in any numbers, like on the calculator, credit card number, address, SSN, etc.

I finally just ordered a replacement G600 a few days ago since my 10 year old one has started having an issue where it double clicks when I only single click 75% of the time, and the "9" button only works 80% of the time. But still, 10 years for something that got many 1000s of hours of use is pretty good.

As to your razer point, I feel like if enough independent sources all say the same thing, it stops being an anecdote. My naga lasted 2 months before it got the double click problem, 6 months before the LEDs stopped working, and 1y before the mouse died entirely.

I've used the razer naga for about 10 years now, after using an MMO mouse I never looked back, makes a massive difference in gameplay. As to the razer naga breaking, for what it's worth I had one that lasted me 8 years, finally replaced it with a new one a couple years ago, so the breakage hasn't been my experience, even with some league of legends desk slamming lol.

The G502 is a real work horse. I bought one when they first came out and and use it to this day, so it’s been 7-8 years by now. The ergonomics are flawless and that trigger button is essential. I got the Razer Naga when it first came out and it broke in under six months. I use Logitech for all my peripherals now (except my headset). Durability matters.
