This mic is incredible and probably the best thing I invested in.....
ОтветитьTHANK YOU!!!!!
ОтветитьSo helpful thank you!
ОтветитьHello I have a Rode Videomic Pro Plus. What are the best settings for a narrator in the background of a video?
ОтветитьThanks a ton for the straight forward video!! Wondering if the settings are good for recording choir performances~
Ответитьi made the mistake of buying this microphone to use with my PC as a streaming mic, its good but could be way better, my voice sound super deep when i speak, maybe because my voice is super close to the mic? idk haha
Ответитьgreat tutorial thank you
ОтветитьWhat did you say exactly about what the best settings for recording fireworks are? I also would like to know for the smaller shows where you can get closer to the bangs on the ground. Thanks in advance!
Ответитьdid all this, half my audio is too hot/peaking badly...even thought it was recorded clean at -12db, R5 gain set to the lowest of the low. plus 20db on the mic... yet still sounds like they are talking through tin cans...livid
ОтветитьI know the pain of not using your equipment to the best of its ability very well. But you took the time to test and learn now, and that’s what’s important! Great job. And thank you for such a great video. It really helped when you showed all the noise present during those settings.
ОтветитьVery good review!! I can't keep doing this lav mic business
ОтветитьYes!!! Loved this video and you sound local🔥 Love it man🙌🏼
Ответитьwhat seting for wedding for dance music..and bass...for volume? thanks
ОтветитьThis was very helpful. I too haven't fully been using this mic correctly. I blame my Tascam DR-10L and MKH-416, as they have been my primary recording devices. Along with my Zoom H6 haha.
ОтветитьI love my rode vm+, I hate when car or airplane noises are captured, I have the correct deadcat on for wind, but can the high pass filters reduce the capture of these noises?
ОтветитьThis was awesome, Thank you.
ОтветитьThanks so much Zander. One thing, would you set the mic to +20DB and what high pass filter when doing ASMR in the kitchen for recipes?
ОтветитьThank you!
ОтветитьI'm wondering what settings I should use to record grand piano in a home-based space. Appreciate for any suggestions!
ОтветитьI have those same settings on my Sony A7riii and I get bad white noise. Any suggestions would be much appreciated!
ОтветитьHey mate thanks so much for this. I always record externally but need to record internally for the first time for a project. Are these settings the same for the Sony a1?
Ответитьthis was so helpful, I always stayed in the 150 for the high pass filter but I think I'm going to try 75 guess I didn't need a new mic after all XD
Ответитьsubbed much love from Vancouver Canada
definitely gonna try these settings out!
I was having trouble recording on electric railways with loads of buzzing using the VIDEO Mic go, will using the Pro Plus eliminate that worry. Many Thanks.
ОтветитьWhat lens are you using.. looks great
ОтветитьPlease tell me what lens you are using thanks man
Ответитьthe intro only made me instantly like the video haha! very original
ОтветитьHi Zander! Thanks for the great video. I was wondering - is there a way to use the Rode VideoMic Pro (I do love it with my Lumix G7 camera) with a Macbook? It's for doing zooms/streaming and screen sharing,, that sort of thing where I need my computer to show the screen. I'd rather make use of my Rode than go out and buy the Blue yeti or similar! Any tips? Perhaps I just need some TRS/ TRRS cable? Thank you! Greetings from Australia. 😊
ОтветитьCan such a microphone eliminate or at least reduce the noise you get from the lenses AF-motor when it is focusing or do you need another type of microphone for this?
ОтветитьI bought the same mic and I'm using it with the same settings, but the sound is low and I can hear the noise in the background. What shall I do?
ОтветитьGreat video buddy! I just ordered one I can’t wait to use it for my videos now!!! Wooooh! Haha
ОтветитьAmazing explanation!
ОтветитьThis video has helped me to set my Rode Mic to the best standard. Thank you.
ОтветитьSame bloody hissing sound many people are experiencing. Its even more tricky if I use the microphone as an external mic for streaming.
Ответитьkeep up the great work, this was very helpful and straight forward.
ОтветитьThanks for this. When you had your in camera audio turned down and +20 what kind of levels were you getting on your audio. I always try and aim for about -6 for my peaks. Could you achieve this with your in camera audio all the way down? Thanks
Ответитьfellow brummie
ОтветитьThanks so much. The difference in quality is huge!!
ОтветитьExcellent info. I went for the VideoMic NTG about a year ago which I really like.
ОтветитьPOGGERS
ОтветитьI love that mic. Glad you recommended to me. I’m starting to wonder if I need my sm7b anymore 😱
ОтветитьVery nice and useful information. Thank you for sharing. 🌻 🌻 🌻
