Hello Marcus,

Let me bounce off your video, I tested your concept on focusing on low search keywords monthly and I partially agree with this idea. Let me explain: I agree that you should target a universe of keywords that are not too competitive to define a niche but not to define the content. Because the "Keyword Difficulty" is not so representative as that, because yes it may not be competitive but that does not mean that I will succeed in positioning quickly, because it will also depend on other factors such as: competitors present around the niche of this keyword which is defined by their content and by the power of their link, dom ref and authority. And secondly on a long tail strategy I would be wrong not to include the competitive words, because I want to be visible on a maximum of keywords and therefore maximize the entry points.

I don't know if I am clear in my explanations, I hope you get the message. In any case, I will be happy to have your feedback to know your point of view.

How reliable is UberSuggest's SD/KD?

Ubersuggest is a useless tool. Keyword metrics are not up to date. For some keywords, they still don't have stats and you get an error message. The second worst tool is Moz in terms of UX though their data is accurate. Semrush or Ahref. Semrush is overcomplicating simple things, again UX issue. Surely Ahref is best among these 4 tools.

a lot of the keywords that have a low KD score are actually VERY competive. I find the sites ranking on page one have a tonne of backlinks and are well established. On the other hand, I've found keywords that have a high KD score like 46, but the sites on page 1 one have little to no backlinks and are poor quality

So take the info from keyword tools with a grain of salt. There are many other factors to ranking on page 1

I take it there should be many different offers that you promote then throw out what isn't making money or/figure out why those losers aren't working and fix them. Right?
