Do you know how to keep a proxy off. Because on my Mac this game I play doesn’t work unless I turn the “SOCKS Proxy” off

i have received s g4 update 2007 but all his passwords are saved on and I can't update +operating system to current MAC upso what can I do to get the most current operating system and get Macintosh working for me
