use random MAC-address in WiFi-connection settings

not working, tried rebooting and turning on and off hotspot, xiaomi redmi note 10 pro, this shite sucks

I have xiaomi 11 t pro, pretty often wifi disconnects and reconnects. I have this issue since I updated to 13 software version. Also signal keeps jumping from dot with one line to full signal. Other phones have stable wifi, so it's not my router. I regret buying this garbage

Had the same problem. This finally worked for me:

Settings>dual apps>delete all dual app data

NOTE: do not do this if you are using dual apps. It will delete all your dual app data ex. If you have 2 Whatsapps, all you data for the 2nd WhatsApp will be deleted

While trying to find a solution for the wifi disconnection issue, i was tinkering through the settings, and found that the new OS update had installed many dual apps without my permission. Ex. FM, notes etc & even for system apps such as those responsible for connections. I reasoned that some of these dual apps might be causing a conflict, and luckily i was not currently using any dual app. So i tried deleting all dual apps and it worked!

I have recently bought a POCO F3 5G MIUI 13 and when I use the Portable Hotspot, I can not connect to my home WIFI any more :((((, i mean it doesn't even detect it in WIFI list.

I have the xiaomi poco x3, when i opened my phone my wifi suddenly forget the wifi password then now when I try to reconnect my wifi and input the password it pops up back and shows a sign that "failed to connect to to network " how can I fix this? Pls help me beause I've got a tons to do online

This didn't work for me, so I tried static IP. It still kept disconnecting until I actually tried to open a website and from then on it has been stable.

Xiaomi 11 lite, my portable hotspot was making me crazy. i disactivated NFC and it finally worked. 👍

I swear they need to add a rollback option rather than updating without knowing there will be a shit ton of bugs

Hi - thanks for your video. Unfortunately, couldn't fix it. Tried everything including resetting, rebooting etc. Was having a problem for a few months but since past few days with overheating, seems like the problem is permanent. Think they will send me out a new phone.

check 2.4GHz band, it shouldn't be on 13 or 12 bands, my problem solved by set my wifi to 11 band.

I had a problem to my phone xiomi redmi note 8. I updated it to Muiu 12.0.2

Same issue on the Poco X3 Pro, the hotspot fix doesn't work for me and I wish I could just rollback : (

After 12.5 update my USB tethering disconnects every 1 hour and i need to restart tethering to keep it working....

I'm also having the same problem on my poco f3 after updating to MIUI 12.5.4.
After applying your fix, the problem still persists, it seems I've to wait for the next MIUI update
