What cute things can I add to the credit card spots in my planner? What are other creative uses for the spots and slots in the planner?

I never knew you could put refills on the planners 🤦‍♀️. I don’t see the refills on the Happy Planner website. Do you have one on Etsy or a suggestion?

I'm retired and pretty much a hermit. I have a Cricut and one of the things that is popular is stickers. That means planners. So, yesterday, I got some planners, for $2.99 and $1.25. One starts at July 2022, the other is not dated. One is a binder-type and I was able to move the Jan to May pages to the back (undated), but the bigger one has a different kind of binding, but the beginning pages are the same dates, but different month, so I could change the date and year, but I'm not sure how to do that. Do I just make new date/year stickers and change them that way? Do I even NEED a planner, since my life is hardly "busy". It's not as if I've wasted a lot of money on these, but I'm not sure it's worth the effort. Everything is on my phone. Thanks! I LOVE your planners! Are they all stickers?

I have always had issues using planners. I'd end up hating/not wanting to use them and then buying another to try and make it work. It ALWAYS ended in failure. It wasn't until I found Happy Planner and your channel that I've finally been able to make a planner work for me and me actually want to use it. I'm still not super great at using my planner, but making it pretty with your help has greatly improved my love for planners again. ❤😊

When I buy printable Happy Planner templates for the classic which is 7x 9.25 inches, how do I get them to print correctly? THey print in the middle of the page with huge margins. Can I get them to print in the corner of the letter paper to trim only the 2 sides? or how can I get my printer to print the actual 7x9.25 size?

Our employer would provide us Franklin planners. VERY expensive. This day and age they would be useless to me. I have come to realize my very first step before anything, before attempting to oragnize a planner is determining what planner will help me get organized. Not all planners work, they seem to have a mind of their own :-D They are like individuals. I am retired now so I have different needs then somebody who is still working. In short different needs. I have been focusing on nutrition and that is my main focus and it just so I happen to stumble onto a journal at our local department store leaning on nutrition. So not to make this any longer, do you have a videdo on organizing a planner on nutrition? Thank you.

It’s almost one year of my attempt at planning. I found this video today and it is such a big help. I’m excited to almost get my 2022 ready.

- brain dump
- create sections (in monthly, weekly,.. layouts for different stuff/categories)
- color coding
- time blocking / time log (to figure out where your time went)
- use the side bar (priorities, anything..)
- create lists, checklists (packing, routines, fav stuff, ..)
- daily planner if it better works for you
- keep it simple
- be consistent (keep it accessible, have a time for it)

Due to fine motor skills/motion planning quirks combined with dyslexia (being left-handed doesn't help for smearing) I've never taken on a paper planner and stuck with it, though I did buy one over 20 years ago :D

However, I'm very much a digital guy in tech, and I've taken to using digital means. The thing is, none take care of my needs for planning and working on projects that can work for personal as well as work stuff at the same time. A lot of what I do in some form or another is to write down thoughts as they come, which is often in the middle of some other task, which is problematic for accurate time tracking, so I found it interesting you mentioned a time log. for work I need to explicitly track time for customer and non-customer work and fill it out, and sometimes it actually happens according to a schedule but more often than not, it's very interrupt-driven in nature and any planned activities for the day are merely wishlists by nature. That they are so interrupt-driven complicates life greatly, especially when I have multiple tasks stack up, for accurate tracking of time.

What am I leading to? I'm doing a study of the topic matter of how people use todo lists/planners to understand what the problems are that everyone runs into, and what are known solutions. I'm very much of an engineer mindset and before my foray into investigating what already exists and why, I didn't think about people decorating their planners, and that being a meaningful thing: outside of Outlook for work, and a case management tool (both which have no flexibility for decor) I frequently use Notepad for short-term todo things that aren't tied to a specific case long-term (those get put into the case notes). You're not the first in videos I've seen bring up decorations, but your explanation that people are less likely to return to their planners if it's not decorated as they desire is an interesting point.

What I'm doing with this information I'm gathering is defining a set of requirements for an iOS application (bare minimum) that'll implement my needs that I've not seen in existing software available for iOS as my needs are project-based in many but not all cases, and knowledge workers often have that sort of situation. This is the first video I've seen of yours, and I'm curious as to how you deal with keeping the dead-tree and the digital planners synchronized, as I can reasonably expect that one changes at times for things being cancelled or changed, and I can see having more than one place to store information causing things to get confused and possibly things dropped, which is a reason I'm also wishing to have a fully-digital experience, since then there's only a single point of truth at all times. Of course, the advantage of a paper planner is if the power goes out (or battery, as the case may be) you still have access to the planner, and you can modify it ;)

I just bought my first Happy Planner Big because it was on sale at Michael's. I also bought the punch to add my own pages, but there's no room in mine for anything else. How do you fit additional pages in the planner, besides what came in it? I can't afford to buy another planner, waste all the pages that are already in it to put my own? Also, mine didn't come with the special slotted holes to just tear the pages out, I have to rip them out if I want to remove them. Thanks for helping!
