ОтветитьDo you have a video on where to start? Just left the tower industry and I miss it but was done traveling. I heard about wisp and want to start my own thing but have no clue where or how
ОтветитьIs there a permit, or legal fee?

I live in a apartment complex n don't know if I can do my own wisp from my apartment
Ответить7 minutes we know the router and switch costs ..
Ответитьwow!! a year old video.. i hope to get a response from you .. so i have begun my little WISP and my first installation is 17miles .. i used rocket 5ac lite and its working just fine.. i had to reduce the speed to 30ghz since there is so much noise and my internet was not working when i used 40ghz with a speed of over 100mbps.. i had to reduce to 30ghz and i am not enjoying minimum 30 mbps. the actual speed i needed is 20mbps and so i am perfectly okay with that.
now to my question.
i am about to install to a distance of 28 miles but i will be doing co -hosting.. 17 and 11 miles
which device will you recommend i use .. the intention is to sell to lots of client.. about 200 clients and so i will need a higher speed at the end point..
the unifi controller system is fantastic the more equipment you connect to it. the default UI options will cover 95% of user's requirements and from a managements perspective, being able to load "sites" (could be a client/customer) keeps the device view really neat and tidy. any person doing things like building a wisp and connecting all this hardware should have no issue using unifi controller.
ОтветитьWow, cool. I am interested in starting a system in Tucson, AZ. Is there someone already set up with this type of system in Tucson?
ОтветитьWhat is the name of the other supplier you mentioned? Tric , stric wave?
ОтветитьTrying to join the discord link, got part way through, tried to set up an account but can't finish, and now I can't join with the link above... Any thoughts?
ОтветитьJust starting.. But i have come to realize that to used ubiquity here in my country i must have government approval
ОтветитьThanks, I've learned a lot from this. I'm starting up a WISP in my local county and this info is a god send.
ОтветитьYou get grants from us government?
ОтветитьWhat about an omni directional antenna?
ОтветитьThanks for this amazing video. I have questions : how high must be the pole ? What is the km range of the setup shown on this tutorial ?
Ответитьmy question is how do i assign people public ip addresses
Ответитьhello, thank you so much for the information and i have a question, would you advice someone to use mikrotik mantbox 19s as sectors
ОтветитьYou said you run 3 backbone rrus. At what height are your antennas mounted and what’s your general range of coverage?
I know each antenna will be different, but generally speaking, at what distance do you see speeds start to drop off?
How does one go about getting IP addresses? I read somewhere that there are few if any IPv4 addresses available. What is the solution assuming this true? Thank for answering my questions.
ОтветитьI know this is an older video. When you initially set up the Wisp, how did you decide licensed and unlicensed radios? Did you do any kind of evaluation of the environment to determine the best option for using licensed or unlicensed radios? Thank you.
ОтветитьIm a tower climber looking to start a small WISP service to pay for my RF engineering degree. I have just a few more questions about the initial steps to starting my first WISP site. If at all possible I would like to speak to you further.
ОтветитьHi, great video, I have project to be WISP in africa, can you please your different Amazon equipment list (basic, advanced, gold) ?
Many thanks for this job 👍🏾
Hi Thanks for this. It was really helpful. I want to try a similar setup. Can you give an idea of how many clients you are supporting with the edge router 4 ?
ОтветитьI am about to EAS in October and am looking to do the same thing! Thanks for the guidance!
ОтветитьAren’t people complaining if they can’t watch Netflix with their Datacenter IP
ОтветитьCat6 supports higher speeds than Cat5e but it's still easy to work with (unlike 6a and 7) and relatively the same price
ОтветитьThanks for sharing!
Ответитьwhat speeds are you starting with in this video from your backhaul?
ОтветитьI have a tap in for internet to resell and I have a way to get customers. Do I need permits or certifications?
ОтветитьI have follow up questions, is that okay?
Ответить@rmp5s How many subscribers were you able to get on and at what price? Also what is the cost to profit ratio for the connection you had up?
ОтветитьHow much do backbone providers usually charge you to hook up to their service?
ОтветитьConcuerdo contigo en que es lo que se tiene de $ para comenzar un wisp, en lo personal tengo backbond mimosa c5c y trabajan bien sin ruido, con ruido te quieres cortar la cabeza. Has probado cambrium? Saludos desde La Baja.
Ответитьis this setup for your own private network? or can you have people on this network besides you? i'm 1st and foremost trying to be my own WISP so i can get away from the shitty service i'm getting from the current WISP in the area. mainly i just want a faster speed which they promise and don't deliver.
however if i can build this and then have say 5-10 people on it to recoup my investment that would be a ++
Love the video. I run a telecom company just north of Atlanta. Done a TON of PtP and PtMP. Wanting to get further into WISP. Seems like the upfront challenge is to find a "tower" or location to deploy from. We have a lot of trees! LOL
