I've been watching a lot of these police videos, and I have to say that they know how to ride a LOT better than I ever realized. I started watching more now that I have a really big bike, and I want to be as good a rider as possible. I'm not a new rider, but the machine I just got is my biggest yet. Really, these officers are very skilled and confident, and I appreciate the videos.
ОтветитьPerhaps telling them the mechanics more completely would be a good idea....let the clutch out more to keep from falling over in the direction of your turn... clutch out less if your falling away from the turn.
ОтветитьI wish I was as smooth of a rider as you are 😅
ОтветитьOnce I can do this, I will be a "rider".
ОтветитьThis is for Yanks. Have a look at Joey Dunlop (Peace be upon him) at the at the North
West or the TT. Take your pick . This is skills for our friends across the water. Proper riders don't make U turns . Or use brakes. Or live very long... Thanks Mr P, I have learnt quite a bit
More awesome nuggets.
Ответитьa U turn is just a left or right turn, but instead of straightening the bike, you keep the handle bar turned to the left or the right :D or think of it this way, a U turn is just two left turn or two right turns :D
ОтветитьThat was soooooo cool!!!!! I have to learn to do that. I've been riding 20 plus years and have never tried.
ОтветитьYou should do whatever you feel comfortable with, who cares what you look like!
Ответитьthat looks so sexy!!!
ОтветитьI’m still working on full lock from a stop. Thanks for the great videos. I’m located in Martinsville VA and look forward to taking a class from your NC partner.
Ответить👍🏻 As always: great.
Unfortunately in this clip the voice did not develop fully 🎤 . But anyway: what you see is what you get (WYSIWYG)! 😉
Man he makes it look so easy
ОтветитьThat is an excellent technique that why you are the professional.
ОтветитьHi sir I have been riding bikes for years and I thought I was a good rider until I started following you was I ever wrong. I am a better rider now thanks to you. Love your videos head and eyes work and when you do it it feels great lol.
ОтветитьI'd rather look foolish doing laps in a parking lot than look foolish when the moment actually counts.
Ответитьthese bikes are sooo much different than a gsxr XD
ОтветитьVery good tutorial👍
ОтветитьAs a matter of personal safety and safety of others,, if you are going to ride a big bike like that. You need to be able to handle it like that
ОтветитьWith the final turn with the full lock.
One of the instant feeling you get is the feeling of your bodily organs suddenly feeling light, like you expect to fall or drop the bike lol.
Until you get that feeling/ fight or flight response in check. In that case its U Turn or Duck walk response.
You still end up pulling the leg out to avoid falling.
Imagine leading a joy ride and suddenly do a U turn on a narrow road. Then watch everyone try to U turn, stop mid way and duck walk backwards cause they run out of space.
I think slow full lock U turn is really one of the most infamous turns in a biker's life time. Until they master it off!
I’ve been riding big bikes for about 14 yrs, I started with a local school (Highly Recommend!) and then a 1000 of Jerry’s videos and books, I practiced alot and still feel I need to work on these damn U turns from a stop because my bike is just under 1000lbs and I definitely don’t wanna drop it, ya know? So I will continue working on it, thanks Jerry, you make it look so easy my friend!
ОтветитьStill can't hear
ОтветитьSuprised it started!!
ОтветитьI can do three parking spaces now, but can't do two yet.
ОтветитьI can learn a lot from you. You're serious about riding correctly. Thank you so much.
ОтветитьYou inspire to get out and do my low speed turn practice
ОтветитьThis guy is legit
ОтветитьI purchased all his DVD's. 3 tips so far saved me from a crash! All is courses needs to be a mandatory class throughout the country. Best money I ever spent. Best techniques and evasive maneuvers ever.
ОтветитьHave you ever done one on riding with a person on the back
ОтветитьAnyone can go fast in a strait like super sports do it all the time moto man like riding a Harley slow so people can see all the chrome
ОтветитьHi Jerry. What about right hand turns? No rear break controls when right leg on ground and left on the peg ? Any ideas?
ОтветитьDude needs a microphone. Otherwise good video but it's funny how much he looks like he's trying to look like a cop.
ОтветитьI've always thought at watching Daytona or Sturgis: why do nearly all duckwalk; haven't they got no pride? They can ride, can't they? I think it's wrong to think they can't. They can, but not so good they should. In addition, they have never swept the Net like I have, taking in info from you Jerry, and from whomever of the rest of the good YT contributors present. Biking shouldn't be taken lightly.
ОтветитьJerry looks and sounds like the Sgt. On 1 Adam 12. Officer Danko's SGT. He ordered the camera person to stand back🤣
ОтветитьStayed between both parking stalls on that full lock u turn 👍. I feel like I'm learning and don't even have a bike yet. Your channel is great!
ОтветитьIt's a good skill to have but a lot of people are just scared to learn it properly because the fear of dropping the bike. Especially with bikes that can fall completely flat.
ОтветитьYou look like the T1000
ОтветитьClasses Where When And how much?
Thanks
A couple months a few minutes each day and now I really feel like I can’t drop my bike if I try. 10% Jerry and 90% practice and you can’t go wrong 😎 thanks mate.
ОтветитьFfs nobody can comprehend the slightest bit!!!!
ОтветитьWhen I grew up (technically) I want to Ride Like a Pro. 2 thumbs up
ОтветитьLove this one, got alot of info, thanks so much.
ОтветитьGood morning motor man, for this drill should be in friction zone right? No rear break?
ОтветитьWow so motivational end, it's either to do what you said or drop the bike like a loser
Ответить"You can go ahead and duck walk and look foolish if you want to that's fine" lmao 🤣🤣🤣🤣
ОтветитьLove to hear why over 400 naysaying people thumbs down this advice. The demonstration is spot on. The technique absolutely works and the confidence gained from the practice is why it works time and again. Practice is paramount, otherwise it’s a perishable skill set.
ОтветитьI love the video BIG HELP THANK YOU
ОтветитьJerry, how do your riders fair who have had cervical fusions even though experienced rider?
Ответить
