Everything in the interior is integrated…except the vents, which look silly.

This is the car I bought. Because I had a 2019 Mk 7.5 GTI Rabbit Edition, and I totally fell in love with it. But somebody T-bones it in an intersection. And this car, when in the lower driving modes and below 70% throttle, feels just like the GTI that I loved. But then of course it's got the "mother fucker" modes and more throttle pedal. I do miss the hatchback, but oh well I'll get over it.

The sharp upper line missing is nonnegotiable.

I've watched this video no less than 10 times and I fall in love with the RS3 more and more with each view. Thank you gents for the review. I'm saving my pennies for one and can't wait till the day I order. The M340i is a bit too long and the M240i only has 2 doors... this is the sweet spot.

Excellent video review! Great job. Chemistry of the team is excellent. I'm the owner of a 2018 RS3 and love it. However, just placed an order for a 2024 model. Kemora Grey actually. This review really made me feel good about changing from a near perfect car to a more perfecter car. Scrabble word, I know but it fit. Now only have to wait until June or so to take delivery. Thanks again for the great review.

Great car and great review!!! But thing you have in hand all the time, the steering wheel looks silly. Just like an A3, not sporty at all, too large, no alcantara, to thin... what did Audi think?

Is it confortable for the daily driver?

For all intents and purposes, this car should be considered "vaporware". I've never seen one on the road (I am located in the northeast US, not far from Southern Ontario). I've never seen one at a dealership. The Audi USA web site shows that the are just 35 of these vehicles currently in or in transit to the States. (Less than one per state) Of those, 32 are "reserved", meaning already spoken for. One is listed as " in transit to dealer". Just two are actually at a dealer and available. So, why not just order one? Current wait time for delivery can be 8 to 12 months...or more. A quick visit to an RS3 discussion board reveals that some buyers who placed an order for a 2023 model early in the year have been told that their vehicles will now be a 2024 model and may not be delivered until calendar 2024. Add to that some rather astronomical dealer mark-ups and you have a vehicle that is functionally unavailable.
Frankly, this vehicle topped my list as to what my next new car would be. Until I found out all the info listed above. Now, it's just another "dream car" with little hope of ever owning (or even test driving) one.
I'm not sure why Audi seems to be sequestering what could be a top seller for them. My local Audi dealer has tons of Q3s, Q5s, A3s and other run-of-the-mill sedans. They also have a lonely 2023 TTS coupe that has been on the lot for 145 days. But nary an RS3 in sight. Oh, and my local BMW dealer has five M2s in stock. Five. Perhaps not a direct competitor, but certainly an alternative...that you can actually buy. Again I ask Audi, what's up with that?

If you had a choice between the Audi S3 and RS3 - which would you choose?

Currently, I am the market for a new car and have narrowed my options down to those two options. Unfortunately, none of the local dealerships ever have either of those models in stock and when they do that are immediately sold - so I am unable to test drive either.

I am seeking an executive luxury daily driver with power/kick and extremely smooth shifting. I have no intention of ever drifting but tend to have a lead foot on the highway lol so would like the ability to do high speeds easily.

The 5 cylinder engine on the RS3 sounds so tempting but I wonder if it's too much power.

Any thoughts?

The best sounding turbocharged engine is by far the 5 cylinder.

always had a soft spot for 5 cyl. been trying to get a 5 cylinder Volvo for awhile now but havent found one that checks all my boxes yet, they are pretty rare around me though.

What I love about the 5 cylinder is when a corvette owner comes up to you in the car wash and say those engines are insane and they underestimated tuned versions.

These guys are great - super funny, informative - seem like brothers - and I bet both are talented drivers - well done.

If you could pick between the RS3 and RS5 sportback (not the competition model) and you could get them both in Canada (maybe coming), which would you choose, price aside ?

The problems with this car is their is no manual transmission option and no physical hand brake lever 🤦‍♂️ So what are you supposed to do when you send it too hard in to a corner on a snow cover road and it starts under steering towards the ditch? 👎🏼

If Audi wants to fix the understeer of their awd car, why don't they look at what Mitsubishi did with their Evo?

I thought the rs3 line was like a sports type station wagon type car, am I wrong? Or did they change the body? Or are there 2 different rs3 body type?

Wrt the shifter, guys: the A3 based cars are all GIRLS. So it is large! Figure it out.
