I was raised with that religion and I believe in it, but I 100 percent agree with Nergal. Not just Christianity but all other religions. If he does the same with the Quran I will 100 percent respect him more, but like many others that criticize one religion will not dare to touch Islam due to not wanting that drama.

NGL, he does have a good point at explaining the hypocrisy, but I believe that it's not about the book, but the people who claim to follow it yet they don't do what it's written.

What I write is just my opinion and ideas based on my own research and few talks with theologists and bibliologists.
Tora at least is consistent across ages but still it's very difficult to understand things in the way old sages did. I have an idea. Every Bible shoud have listed all changes, alternative versions and alternative interpretations. Also all oryginal myths from whitch stories originated and all changes made to this stories by Bible authors etc. This woud make it maybe like 10x thicker but al least some common people woud understand, that you can make any text sacred and no book holds ultimate truth. Bibliologist are aware of how whole book was "assembled", this is a whole branch to study. Also adding how christians fight whitch each other after Christ's death and used bloody political tactics to wipe out competition woud be nice.

Wise man who did even basic research woud understand, that there are actually many lies in this book. Even from historical standpoint. People cherry-pick fragments to support their agenda for their own benefits and make lifes of others miserable. Rationalisation and apologetics are of no use if you do not approach things scientifically. You can make ant claim be undefiled in semiotic way (exaple: "Something is but you can't see "It" but you can't see it becaous is out fo reach for human. Now you can't verify it in any way but your counciousness is ultimate proof." << this is just an oridinary idea or believe, not a scientific analysis) but this leads to prediction of theoretical and unlikely scenario at best or delusion at worst. If you do it to yourself without harming others it's not a big problem as we all have limited capabilities of understanding reality. But if you project it on others because of some neurotic, sadistic, narcissistic tendencies or just stupidity it's actually harmfull. And there is real the danger. You give for such person a Bible as a "sacred confirmation" and rampage will begin.

There is some value in this book and it's an interesting compilation but treating it as some sort of untochable, ultimate knowledge is just dangerous. People woudn't be so scared of such events if this book was actually so powerfull and able to defend itself. There are many sacred texts and all can do good for people but when sacrum meets politics it can became a real poison. That is the case. And many people know it, just don't admit it publically. It's about making people think for themselves first. Iif you own a copy of any mass-produced item noone shoud haund you for what you do with it. And if you go at Behemoth event you can't call yourself offended.

In Poland organiosations dedicated to protection of Christian values actually propagated this event to all the believers across the country xD . If someone is really dedicated to christian faith, he/she shoud laught or ignore whole happening. They put a lot of effort and money not only to try to silence Nergal but also to create "public enemy" for their own agenda and goals.They just wanted to scare others so noone woud raise a voice. And that's how tyrany begins. Only some can speak up and rest shoud be punished. It turned out, that people in Ordo Iuris actually are corrupted and don't live according to values their promote, there were a lot of such news not long ago. I guess it's just another buisness focused on making money on expense of ignorant people in the name of "higher good". Just check Ordo Iuris if you are interested. It's just an exellent example of "holy hipocrisy" taking Bible as it's base.

Putting religious differences completely aside, Adam "Nergal" Darski (based solely on his style and talent), is one of my very favorite musicians of all-time. I won't purchase Behemoth music or merch for religious reasons, but I have seen enough of Mr. Darski to know that I could sit down for 4 or 5 hours with him and have a damn enjoyable time. He is very down-to-earth and seems to just love life. If you don't throw your beliefs in his face or criticize him for his, you can talk about damn near anything. I am willing to bet that he would be willing to have a philosophical debate on your differing views.
