Bonjour, l'installation esxi 8 n'est pas facile au niveau matériels. Surtout pour la carte réseau et processeur. Mais j'avoue que l'interface est sympas. Avec Proxmox, j'ai aucun soucis, et plus souple. Ils sont de la chance qu'il n'existe pas plus de concurrence pour Vmware ESXi, car les gens irons chercher ailleurs pour plus simple.

I just installed esxi 7.0 u3 on my ibm x3550 m3 using your guide. The installation was successful, but when I went to the storage menu no disk was detected in the devices tab. while on the adapter menu there is a list of adapters, one of which is the ICH10 4 port SATA IDE Controller model. do you have any suggestions for this problem.?

I get a No Network Adapters fail installation . how to solve it?

Hi Joe, I'm using ESXI to virtualize some machines inside the server and recently I'm having some problems with the Dell PERC H345 Front card, it's not starting when I turn on the server, I'm having to run it manually when I access ESXI, you know how do i solve this?

Did you say that ESXI 7 works on the R720's? Everything I'm reading seems to suggest it doesn't work. I was going to renew my VMUG, but if my R720's can't run V7 I might as well try ProxMox. I would rather run ESXI, but as I said everything seems to suggest that V7 doesn't work on the R720's. Any clarification would be appreciated.

Nice video!!! Have you tried ESXi 7.x on a Dell R710? 6.7 works with no mods needed.

The problem I had that UnkyJoe bypasses, perhaps unbeknownst to him, is ESXi 7 ONLY recognizes the USB drive and not my SAS drive. UnkyJoe has installed ESXi 7 on a R710 in a different video, (My specs listed below), but Always installs to the USB.

ESXi 6.7 recognizes both drives.

I may just install to the USB and do a dual boot as he did with Win Server. ONLY reason I may do that is I installed Win 10 on ESXi 6.7, gave it 14 cores, but I program I'm using on Win 10 only sees 2 cores and it's performance bares that out. When Win 10 is installed directly on the server it sees ALL 14 cores I associate with it.

Any ideas why it doesn't see my SAS drive? and perhaps why when used in a VM vs direct install the program only sees 2 of 14 cores?

I installed ESXi 7.0.0 in my hp dl380g7 2x5670 CPU. During install it warned me that my 10gbs network card is not supported but once it finished the network is running fine (hp nc552). Also I did update to ESXi 7u1 using vCenter without any warning...

Guess this will work on my HP DL380 G6's with very old x56k CPu's, Mortan lets see a video on the HP DL380 G6's running custom HP esxi 7.0.......... Very Nice video shows there are ways for us guys who are running old enterprise servers to be able to install EXSI 7.0. The forced upgrade your hardware is BS.

I got it going too on an old PowerEdge it works pretty good just migrated my vms from esxi 6.0 to play around ... I’m still trying to get the boot to work automatically to esxi.. still watching

Well they will remove that fix in a future update. Google did that with java support. I have to fix it so people could still use java in their web browsers. Then in a update it was gone. So don't be surprised when esxi 7.1 or however their numbering convention is that it does not disappear.
