Pier Runners Shamed by Fellow Cruisers

I make sure I don't depend on my cell phone for the time. I have a watch when I go ashore, and I set the watch to ship time.

The giving the litle girl a piggy back ride was so kind of him. He went up and beyond of his job.

You say jeering. I say fanfare. Potato … po-ta-toe 😂

If we are going to antagonize, shame and jeer ,more people act like idiots, fools and rudely arrive on board on time than pier runners . Food for thought

Just wear a watch leave phone on ship

just a comment: You can jeer someone and scorn someone, but you can only try to shame and humilliate them. The point being that you have to allow yourself to be shamed or humilliated, other people cant put this on you.

Nah they get what they get... I only wear a watch 5-8 days a year just so it doesn't happen to me.

If you say “the time shifted BACK one hour… it was ONE hour EARLIER in Cozumel than it was on the ship…”. So it doesn’t make sense that this would have them to be late, the opposite, they would have been an hour EARLY right?

When we took a Carnival cruise to Cozumel we always made sure to get back before we were due but it would never have even dawned on me to watch and jeer at the pier runners racing to get back on the ship. We had the Cheers package and we were enjoying life somewhere on that ship. People need to be a little patient with each other.

I carry a plain old Casio digital watch set to ship time. I know I can go into my phone settings and adjust, I just want that old school backup

I’ve had Lee as cruise Director before and he’s absolutely phenomenal. Maybe my favorite so far.

In 100% fairness to NCL they actually did not care about 14 not aboard yet. They cared about a man in a wheelchair and his deaf wife that had not returned.
I saw them on a dock cart heading for the ship at 10mph. Made me cry.
Bridge blew the horns..some entitled thought they were exempt from that and continued to WALK. Up went the walkway, 4 left behind. Sorry, horn blows...run.
45 minutes late departure. That is huge!

Cabo, Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan (no one cared there) DOCK RUNNERS!.
IF for no other reason, get a balcony! Inside cabins will pay cash to watch dock runners and I travel solo. Takes minutes to figure out which side of the boat to reserve. You will make friends for life

If I have, let’s say 5 hours in port, I just set an alarm for 4-1/2 hours. Don’t have to worry about checking the time. 😀

It’s reminds me of a bunch of grand school kids… We know how their children are gonna be in school.. A shame

We were on Wonder of the Seas in Roatan and the ship's time was different from shore time. It gets really confusing when you're arranging something with somebody on land when you're unaware that the ship's time is different and nobody tells you ahead of time. Thankfully we were aware when we got off the ship but it just things more complicated than it had to be...

Honestly, the people screaming are worse than the pier runners. You'd think for how much money they've spent for the cruise they'd be doing something else with their time. Eat , drink, and BE MERRY!!

You can go into your settings and turn off your Automatic date and time so your time on your phone won't change
