So much better than Totally Not Mark’s bleach series
ОтветитьThank you for this, I was looking for a way to refresh myself before Bleach returns, I'm even considering starting the manga where the anime left off, it's just so tedious to re-watch it since I already know how things happen and I remember as soon as certain things are brought up, finding this channel gives me a chance to refresh myself without going through all of that.
ОтветитьUpon entering the Soul Society arc, I get a feeling of strong Samauri traditions. Though with the use of the Bankai, it got a little altered with more Westernized. I Love the whole arc. Seeing his own resolve and realizations, I love how Ichigo proved to be very close to their levels of fighting, even though he doesn't know that his father is one. Along with his mother's Quincy abilities and the Hollow curse, his powers could grow to even outdo several of the captains.
Ответитьto be honest the first thought i was thing about is aizen a good person
ОтветитьThis is so good!!
ОтветитьDo you prefer the anime or the manga?
Ответитьwhat is the name of the outro in the video?
ОтветитьAnother good way to start off this Anime second season is with a rescue mission to another world.
ОтветитьThere'll be a analysis of the filler arcs?
ОтветитьI love both halves of the soul society arc.
ОтветитьDo you have any plans for making a video on origin and lore of Hollows?
ОтветитьWhat makes the Soul Society Arc so compelling was the character portrayals and power scaling. Both were we perfectly blended.
ОтветитьWhat a great video and analysis
ОтветитьAnyone here watched Dorohedoro? I just recently watched it and thought it was freakin amazing!
ОтветитьSubstitute Shinigami and Soul Soziet T only good arcs in bleach
ОтветитьFun fact this arc of bleach was inspired bye saint seyia arc when they save the Princess from the gold saints.
ОтветитьIn what chapter of manga the anime ends?
Ответитьoh perfect, the arc I just so happen to be watching right now
ОтветитьI had to quickly like this video. Seeing those 666 likes beforehand wasn't sitting well with me. Would've liked this video regardless though.
ОтветитьI fuck with your shit bro 🌶🔥🔥
ОтветитьReading Bleach for the first time, I fell in love with this and the Substitute Shinigami Arcs, even declaring them as my favourite introduction Arcs in Anime/Manga, since maybe the Angelo Arc of Jojo Part 4
But they’re not what I consider the peak of Bleach, that would be The Fullbring Arc
I love these videos!
ОтветитьKubo's love for Saint Seiya shined all throughout this arc lol.
ОтветитьGreat video. Looking forward to your final release on the SoM Westwood project 😀
ОтветитьI appreciate you keeping up with Bleach, your work is greatly enjoyed, at least by me... especially considering we may have a continuation of the anime coming up! (i'm not sure exactly what's been confirmed so far, only that an announcement is due soon) I may actually just do another re-watch now, just due to this video. Bleach has always been my fav of the 'big 3' or whatever the term is. Keep up the good work!
Ответитьcant wait for you to cover the bount arc! its my favorite
ОтветитьThe main subject of the Soul Society Arc is the dynamic between law and tradition vs. rebel and progressing. Ichigo is a perfect MC for this setup: a young deliquent, who is a new shinigami rebelling against the imponent and millenar Seireitei.
It's VERY OBVIOUS that's something wrong about Rukia's execution, but the people from Soul Society was so blind by the rules and tradition that almost no one realizes that and everyone got tricked by Aizen. Hitsugaya one notice because he's a new captain, so he's still not total imerse on that. Shunsui and Ukitake didn't notice the manipulation, but they rebelled because they have a good moral values.
Also, a bunch of characters in this arc are "locked" or "stagnant" by some sort of feelings of guilty and resentment, or by the unchangeable rules of Soul Society. Ichigo changes everyone, here's the examples:
- Rukia easily accepts her death penalty because she still feels guity for killing Kaien Shiba. She also feels guilty for dragging Ichigo to be a Shinigami and let him almost killed by Byakuya
- Renji couldn't reach Rukia and reunite with her, even though he works for her brother-in-law
- Byakuya blindly follows the law due to an oath he made after breaking a rule (by marrying a commoner - Rukia's sister), he was a prisoner of his noble status and role as captain
- Uryuu still feels resentment towards shinigamis for killing his grandpa
- Soi Fong feels resentment towards Yoruichi for abandoning her
- Sanji Komamura didn't have the courage to show his true self
- Ganju feel resentment towards Rukia for killing his brother
Every character that I mention overcome that after SS arc and all of that starts with Ichigo.
I never liked anime or manga until I saw Bleach, and this arc. I think TYBW might be my favorite at this point but this arc is paced perfectly and had me waiting for every new episode. It’s still brilliant and maybe the best manga arc that I know of, not necessarily my favorite arc in manga but it’s definitely top 5. I’ll always have a place in my heart for this arc as I would’ve never watched or read all the great content Japan has without Bleach and Kubo.
ОтветитьGreat action, great story, great character development, great suspense. Twist and turns from beginning to end. It was so exciting watching it on anime central each night, before anime central went off the air. Just a great arc.
ОтветитьI'm loving these honestly, your analysis is pretty spot on and it's good to see consistent bleach content as we grow closer to the return of the anime. Truly you're one I'd the highest quality reviewer on this site and I place you and TotallyNotMark on the same level. I can only hope Mark gives bleach a chance when all the craziness he's experiencing blows over
ОтветитьMan really love your videos!
ОтветитьTbh it’s people like you that keep me on the anime community!
ОтветитьAmazing arc I can’t ever decide what half I love more
ОтветитьHyped for part 2
ОтветитьIchigo and renji rematch end is so epic that i rewatching it regularly
ОтветитьHope you do well and that this series will stay online :)!
ОтветитьRenji begging Ichigo to save his lifelong friend was jarring yet unsurprising since it him coming to terms with the injustice of what would've been her fate and him not doing anything but bringing her back to face it. It was obvious foreshadowing to hers and Renji's future together in the postwar world.
ОтветитьGreat video as always!
ОтветитьI love this arch a lot. I have to say your videos have pumped me up for anima coming back soon. I have to say this part if the arch really made me interested in bleach as a series.
ОтветитьI'm on my third re-read and I'm lovin it.
ОтветитьI feel like a broken record sometimes trying to explain how the Arrancar and Tybw arcs are better but, sometimes I forget how phenomenal this arc is
ОтветитьIkaku always looked like a buddhist monk to me.
ОтветитьOff topic: considering what’s been going on with TotallyNotMark, I really needed a good analysis video to pass the time. Keep it up, my friend, and let’s enjoy these works together and stand in solidarity with our community :]
ОтветитьI consider that Bleach doesn't fall after the Soul Society Arc, but said Arc is still my favorite anime arc of all time. This arc has the best atmosphere i have ever seen in anime because of the new characters, world building and mistery all combined with a God-Tier soundtrack in the anime. The plot twist of Aizen being the main villain left me speechless and it make me reconsider some plot twists in Attack On Titan, it really was that shocking and great. Another thing is that every fight in this arc benefits every character motivation, not like later in the series where the characters just fights for duty. The pacing is also amazing because the arc balances perfectly between the heroes and the Shinigami and you're hooked to beggining to end. Unlike the Arrancar where the pacing is all over the place like the Fake Karakura Town Battles. And lastly, the tone in this arc is perfectly balanced, by balancing between comedy, seriousness, and dark moments. Sure, the Arrancar Arc has it's moments but the tone was destroyed by characters like Nel and her stupid brothers, and the fight between Yumichika and Charlotte.
ОтветитьI finished TYBW last week, and I’m so excited to see this series of videos thru. Good stuff man
ОтветитьCan you make bleach's inspirations analysis???
ОтветитьIt's pretty cool that kubo got alot of inspiration from saint seiya Sanctuary arc for this arc and put his own twist on it.
ОтветитьHater: "Soul Society features weak world building and irrelevant side-characters."
Me: That's because this was an introduction for what's to come. These characters were merely introduced in this arc and are to be developed later on. Also, the show doesn't need a grandiose world to tell an interesting story. The show features a realistic take on Shonen with a realistic world.
Hater: "Actually, Soul Society is a really crappy version of Heaven."
Me: Not quite, the Soul Society Arc is inspired by Edo and Heian Era Japan. The information is there as long as you take the time to understand what's there.
Hater: "I shouldn't be consulting external material to understand a story."
Me: These aren't core concepts of the story that demand explanation. World building is overrated and not a necessity. Besides, the show nails it with the characters.
