This is so awesome!! These short conversations are so useful. I have two questions that I always wonder about--using short conversation 63. I have a Chinese only speaking friend at the gym-recently moved from Taiwan to live in the US with his son. His English is worse than my Chinese if that is possible. He is a runner, and I am a swimmer, but we cross paths occasionally. So, in the question of 63--Do you swim every day? 你 每天 都 跑步 吗, which I can now ask him, instead of saying just 跑步。 So here are the questions: Is 都 required? I have see elsewhere its use being inconsistent for "every"--so, required or optional? The second question: I notice in Chinese that very often similar words are put together to encompass one thought, for example 跑 and 步. Similarly for swim, 游泳 In the answer you included only 跑。When is it customary/safe to drop the second syllable?

ОтветитьTai haole !
ОтветитьPerfect compication of phrases, thank you xiexie ni
ОтветитьExcellent presentation! But there's not story or connection between the sentences. It would be a lot more interesting, and "meaningful input" if there were some little story, no matter how silly, that connected the sentences, to make it more memorable.
ОтветитьXie xie .
ОтветитьIt occurred to smb that nobody needs thousands of words without being able to use them.
