Mercedes Metris Weekender Unboxing or Delivery

This is a brief video that gives you a look at the 2021 Mercedes Metris Weekender. This is a very light touch video, really just a glimpse of a delivery on 05/26.2021 near St. Louis , Missouri. We ordered a Weekender sight unseen 9 months ago, and this is a glimpse that gives you a peek at the exterior of the vehicle and what the inside looks like with the roof popped up. This was literally an unboxing, and this model had some customized features. A few details not shown are that the drawer under the rear seat holds the portable solar panel, and the table leg. There are USB connections in the front corners of the pop top and the drivers pedestal. The pop top does not have an awning and there was no pull out kitchen in this order. The pop top has a screen in the front and on one side, but the other side flap has a solid clear insert, not a screen. The front seats do swivel easily and the drawer is simple to pull out to the front or you can remove the solar panels from the rear which is open to the drawer. Next to the trailer hitch receiver is a socket for the trailer hook-up, a female jack for the solar panel, and a 110 receptacle to plug in shore power.

We were able to work in advance with the dealer to order the van as we wanted it. The options installed were the Bench Seat/Bed, Roof Rail Tracking, Power Upgrade Package, Pioneer Radio, and portable solar panel. We didn't need the kitchen or an awning and it is tough to even tell that this is anything but an ordinary Metris. Covid delayed our purchase process, but that was not Driverge's (the Upfitter) or Mercedes' fault. Again, not a highly technical or detailed video, more just to prove they are rolling out of the upfitting process into dealer's hands now.
