Lionsgate is a big company, so them just "forgetting" about one of their IP's entirely isn't likely. Also if it was a rogue employee, I'm sure that Lionsgate has the resources to contact twitter and shut down the account. But it is fun to imagine a scenario in which Lionsgate completely forgot about one of their IP's because it was so shit that they didn't catch on to one of their former employees still maintaining the account.

Besides the twitter account Norm of the North is kind of like the Alpha and Omega movies where they just kept making movies until they finally stopped. And Alpha and Omega was most likely trying to copy the land before time by making a ton of movies for money.

on that photoshopped wordfind that was being posted - it wasn't fake! it was posted on their instagram in march of 2019 and the post is still up. but seeing that wordfind now only confirms the marketing stunt theory sadly, there is no way they could have missed 'porn'.

A possibility I entertain is it was a disgruntled employee but Lionsgate found it amusing so they either hired them back and allowed them to continue the post or did nothing about it and let them continue the carnage since all press is good press.

I know the guy behind this. he ran norm of the north, twilight, and the official lionsgate twitter. he was just bored and corporate just didn't pay attention. norm was just an account that he felt would go unnoticed by his bosses. hes actually a really cool guy.

After watching Tappy Tunes my standards for animated movies about cold climate animals was set pretty high.

We've seen how incredibly aggressive corporations get when you even utter the idea of harming them. There is absolutely no chance this isn't a corporate publicity stunt. How do we know this? Because if it wasn't, whoever is doing this would have been drowning in legal paperwork after the third tweet.

I'm sure it was just a corporate stunt. They saw the success of the accounts like that one Sonic the Hedgehog account and went, "Okay, we want this. Pronto." but without taking a few seconds to think about what made the thing they were copying fun.

The idea of disgruntled interns taking over and shitposting on brand accounts they were fired from while the companies that owned them are too stupid to know how to deal with it is so fun and cathartic that, as unlikely as it ultimately is, I REALLY want to believe that it's true.
