NGL the 2018 scaleform still feels best

Without seeing it. I'm fearful that it's going to turn into the overwhelming 10 thousand tabs at the top, micro transactions on the right, and an impossible to find options menu. Edit: Ok. Not terrible. But I was actually straight up shocked and horrified how bad the menus USED to look. Jeez.

One thing I dislike about the new smokes is how quickly the bullet holes resorb. Also I really want them to add water particle physics to create streams or simply blow out holes in water with nades and create splash effects that actually wet the sides and slowly dry. Could even have a water entity flag for "do not refill" to like make lava that hides a trapdoor and you have to remove it with nades to access the trapdoor that would be really cool I think. As well as a smoke machine entity to create volumetric smoke that reacts with the geometry and hopefully with liquids too!

Idk, I hope it gets better or it came across badly on the video but the examples of old cs:go (deagle, the spinning guy's pants) honestly look better than cs2's...

The deagle looks like it's made of zinc or chrome that's been polished instead of, you know, steel.
The map comparisons also make cs2's look too bright for my liking. Obviously the shadows are more accurate and should be lighter because of how light works off of the surrounding surfaces, but it feels more washed out with less contrast. Maybe I would just need to artificially lower the gamma.

The most important thing regarding antialiasing for me is that source 2 needs to support super resolution. I usually outright disable AA in favour of running the game at 125% my screen's actual resolution. Like subpixel rendering in fonts, the downscaling back from 3000x2000 (or whatever) to 1440p smooths up all the jaggies without expensive &/or inaccurate approximations on mere sampling, time-based or otherwise, if your card can handle it/you dont care for >90fps.

2018 was the best menu. no debate.

AMD Anti-Lag isn't required for DX12 titles.... in fact turning it on in DX12 games results in 0 difference. Because AMD driver stack pretty much already uses DX12 properly, thus you get that feature native. And if CS2 is on the new engine, more than likely its DX12.... So Anti-Lag while doing nothing, is technically always enabled. Nvidia driver stack is actually worse than AMD regardless of the plebians that scream "Muh Nvidia Better" memes. They NEED Reflex to lower response times in DX12 titles. AMD doesn't.

I'm pretty late here but since CS2 isn't being designed with consoles in mind like CSGO can we please get rid of the stupid buy wheel and go back to a list like all of the previous games? Not only is it generally more intuitive it could also allow having both the M4A4 and M4A1-S available for purchase at the same time, so you can choose on the fly which one you'll need. Same would go for other weapon slots that you now have to go into inventory to swap between like the MP7 and MP5SD. Just a thought

valve really knows how to handle it's playerbase, they know that people dont want new counter strike, all they want was basically a BETTER CSGO

cs 2 is a whole lot of removal of features we used to have , and replace with clunky not viable replacements with 0 consideration for what everyone had to use for 15 years, everything is moved for literally no reason and no ability to put it back like heath ammo, buy menu is totally changed, no long press 5 then 2 to get armor, its now press 1 then 5 to get it, like these people are not thinking at all
