Also Datto's reviews are the only ones I feel are really objective on how good a gun is and that's why I look forward to them. A lot of people will just suck a gun's dick just for the views

Datto what about those of us who are casual AF at this point (& middle aged !) and so we don’t have time to raid - everyone has wifes or gfs and kids, we get to play one night a week for like 2 hours tops - none of us have divinity in our fireteam, any other advice ?

This quest was fairly straightforward for a 3 man team with divinity and comms. With a LFG I wiped 3 times.

I would run deep dive with friends instead of randoms but I'm the only person in the group that still plays Destiny anymore

Thing i fear the most about raids and dungeons getting matchmaking is the players who will ditch just because people arent using meta gear

I was really hoping this would be a veist rapid fire scout when we heard it was gonna be a scout I think a fire rate buff would do it wonders

Great video as always Datto. But I have an honest question.. What about players who dont have divinity? Its very hard to run this mission without it

I use to enjoy this game but now I feel like I have to sweat to get a mission done now. The game is starting to become unfriendly for solo players

So easy for someone to enjoy timers when all they have is time and friends to play destiny.

This exotic sums up the entire season: mid as hell

The gun is actually pretty sweet when paired with Lancecap

I agree. There should be a separate matchmaking for normal, tier 7 and exotic mission on deep dive. I hope Bungie is watching. You have so many great ideas!

In regards to its performance against Overloads, are you sure you don't have Overload Scout already active?

I ran a GM with it, optimal Stasis warlock loadout, catalyst completed, and I literally could not wait to finish the GM and put it straight into the vault. Feels like a gun that could have been interesting in... season 2 or something, without there being such a thing as a Stasis subclass. Not even remotely worth the extraordinary effort that went into getting the gun/catalyst in the first place.

I can’t get the exotic fish. My friend has gotten 14 fish and I’ve only gotten 2 this whole season.

i honestly feel like a total rework for this gun would be great, faster firerate, and change the perks

The issue with this exotic is that if you play with friends, and your friends suck, you can't get this rifle.

Honesty it’s sad how bad this thing is on release, even catylized. one of the two good things it has is done better by a fucking crucible fusion rifle, and the other is just because it was removed from the armor mods ingame (it vacuuming up shards inherently for things like other weapon buffs, healing/over shield, etc)

it looks visually super cool, but I have literally 0 interest in it because it's a scout, pretty useless perk, I'm too lazy to find an lfg team to get it, and I just kinda don't care about it lol

My issue isn't the timer, it's the ability to find a group to even attempt in consistently, even using the app takes a while sometimes

I think if the freeze spread a slowing pulse to surrounding enemies it’d make the gun more fun

Mission’s shit, gun is shit, moving on.

Power creep is so bad that 2 years ago this would have been amazing and strong but right now its mid

Hopefully the buff makes it worth it, it's not a bad weapon on it's own but it's not really a good weapon either outside of when using a turret build on warlock..

This quest has infuriated me to no end, i cannot get the final fish no matter how hard i try, when i do get a chance at the quest because someone has the final fish, they then either miss the final statue or the door at the second stage, and on the one time i got a chance at the boss fight, i had one player who had no idea what to do and just kept slamming his head into the boss and dying over and over. as someone who only has one other friend who plays the game, forcing an activity to have a certain number of players (except raids), or forcing matchmaking to fill spaces really makes the game experience lack lustre.

Which do you think is worse? The gun, or the mission?

There are better ways of implementing intensity than timers. Timers are lazy game design.

Destiny 2 = Anti solo player. FACT. Even COD has a real in game LFG.. Shills can say whatever they want but go solo this mission and come back and tell me Bungie support solos.. This was unbearable solo & if you have the tolerance for LFG great for you, I am 10k hrs into this game and I will not LFG for a trash Scout. This is the 1st mission apart from Outbreak that I have not solo'd.. 20 Million health for a boss in a Maze? Yay!!

This mission was more akin to the Black Spindle exotic mission in D1.

The video summarizes why I just stopped playing D2. The game has turned to a "get friends to play with or don't even try it" kind of game. People have been saying that for a while, but I just loved the game and forced myself to keep playing anyway. Took me a while as I've been playing nonstop since D1, had fun soloing dungeons and other kind of endgame activities, but I got it now. Thanks, Bungie. It's very clear now.

Deep dives are way better with lfg and clear directive. I love deep dives and hope they don't disappear after this season

Normal match made deep dive is basically dead now, everyone is running the exotic mission and hard mode even in matchmade, classic example of them not thinking ahead

Lord Datto beats the mission with the help of two other stacked players and thinks the 10 min timer is OK! I mean not sure what’s more elitist than that?

This mission is just a Div check

What I don't like is Bungie made this mission so hard and they only give us 10 minutes to complete it and that the easiest way to beat it is to use a RAID weapon (Divinity) which most solo players do not have and to queue with someone else that actually has and is using Divinity on this mission is slim to none. Bungie should extend the time limit to at least 15 minutes since there are still a ton of players who do not have Divinity. Now your gonna say play with a fireteam or LFG. LMAO... But my favorite one is "get good". LMAO. Even Datto could not solo this, so it' not about just how good I am. Been playing since D1 and all my friends no long play Destiny and LFG is still a crap shoot just like in matchmaking.

Man, i love Datto opinion vids, but the hypocrisy of "how DARE people complain about the timer, this game needs difficult content, git gud" immediately after saying "so just use Div to completely remove all the difficulty of hitting the mobile boss's small and awkward crit spot" is pretty ridiculous. Man wants a challenge, but doesn't want to challenge his own ability to hit crits, while dumping on people struggling with the challenge he's avoiding

I mean I like it but even though I've tried to get chill clip riptide I've not gotten a drop when focusing it at shax which is frustrating so having a exotic that isn't rng based is nice to have plus it's nice for my more cautionary casual friend to have this for nightfall and such

I used Divinity and had a teammate use cold heart for bonus damage against the 2nd boss given cold hearts perk of doing extra damage to bosses plus divinity is a great combo didn’t get much use out of well given the boss can just run up and pick you up instead we had a chaos reach use their super on the Divinity bubble for bonus damage.

If you are atruggling DO NOT do linear fusions, div, and a well, because the boss constantly rushes you and every single attack will knock you all out of the well unless you're absolutely on point with shots to stun him consistently. Just use div and Thunderloard.

One person shooting Thunderlord can infinitely stunlock the boss. He'll just keep air humping towards them. The div can be anywhere, but the two Thunderlords just stand next to each and walk backwards while shooting. It's also very convenient to clear out adds since the annoying ones have arc shields, and the swarming ones die all in one shock
