I was born in the 70s and grew up with the original Robocop and in some ways, I just liked this version better. The old one was so brutal, gruesome, and flat out grimy. And I get that was the point but the older I get, the harder it is for me to watch that movie. This one gets some of the same messages across but less coarsely with some great effects, music, and acting.

Robocop should never have been re-made because it didn't need updating. The suit is good but not really an improvement on the original. There was some potential do take the concept in another direction but not enough to warrant this movie
It's almost as if all the good parts that they could have paid homage to were dropped and all the ideas not explorered focused on but uselessly since the reason Verhoven didn't focus on them was that they weren't that interesting.
From the choice of actor to play Murphy to the whole rigamarole of his training it all fell flat.
Lastly, the all black suit just didn't work to accentuate that this was a man in a machine. It just looked like the plastic costume it was. The silver gave a better impression of it being steel or titanium.
The only mildly interesting change was the use of a motorcycle.
Other than that it was disappointing. Style is more than costumes and sets.

I don't care what anyone says, this RoboCop movie was great and If the Police start making Real life RoboCops I would be the first in line to become RoboCop.

This is one of the few remakes movies that I actually sort of liked amid all the ridiculous one they made. There out of ideas bc it seems there s few originals out there

The amount of effort they put into making that classic suit only for it to be thrown out in like 4 scenes later

Someone saw Iron Man in 2010 and thought to remake Robocop and make him like Iron Man. Dumb movie.
