Wow, do the MacOS keyboard shortcuts suck! Why press two keys instead of one and three instead of two required for the same action? This is just horrible.
ОтветитьI'm a bit sad you didn’t compare searching for a file on both systems. While windows pretends it can find stuff for you you know is there, macOS actually finds it, and the stuff you’d forgotten about.
Oh and spacebar to preview almost anything directly in finder.
One word. "PowerToys" . Windows is pretty much unbeatable with that.
ОтветитьI wouldn’t go back to windows even if you paid me. macOS is just more enjoyable to use for me, and feels a lot more polished and modern. keyboard shortcuts can be a pain, but there are many useful workarounds
ОтветитьI’m still not used to twitter being renamed “x” I saw that and thought of something way different lmao
ОтветитьYou missed a plethora of options for macos. And I'm only 3 minutes into watching.
You didn't mention that you can use Command + Space to open Spotlight search, then type "Finder" to open Finder, or even search directly for other applications and files using Spotlight search - bypassing finder to find them.
Also missed that with a trackpad you can do three finger swipes to swap between Apps in mac os.
Also missed you can use CTRL+arrow keys to move between desktops/fullscreen apps in mac os.
Also missed that you can use Launchpad to launch Finder by using a four finger gesture on a trackpad, or clicking Launchpad from the Dock, or using Spotlight to launch Launchpad. I believe there is a keyboard shortcut to launch Launchpad as well.
We can not create any file directly in Mac for example to create a text file in a folder we have to save a file there where in windows we can directly create a text file from context menu
ОтветитьForgot to add that you can open any app in macOS with finder. Just hit command space and type the app name
Mac OS also lets you swipe up with 3 fingers to use Mission Control. Like windows+tab but smoother in my experience
I think it is very odd that the video specifically calls out having the enable prntscrn button to open snipping tool feature enabled but then DOES NOT just straight up say that you can just use the prntscrn button by itself to open the snipping tool options (instead stating to use Win+Shift+s)
ОтветитьGot it, everything is 10x more retarded on CrapOS :D
ОтветитьApp Window management is superior in windows compared to mac.
ОтветитьDidn't mention Stage Manager in macOS at all. It's very subjective and a lot of people don't like it but still, it adds quite a few options for windows management and layout which should probably have been mentioned
ОтветитьAs a user of both, Windows is definitely the more easy to use, logical and polished OS.
ОтветитьWin+E more likely to go with cmd+shift+c not the other way around with N.
ОтветитьIt’s clear you don’t daily use macOS cause half of the functions are missing
Ответитьi never knew how confusing the macOS shortcuts were.
ОтветитьIf there is a comparison and Windows exists, Windows has lost,is a piece of shiet, improvised by Bill Gates.
ОтветитьKind of didn’t realize til now, can’t find an equivalent of MS paint for Mac OS, making silly little changes to photos really comes in handy for quick tutorials
ОтветитьOn MacOS working on multiple windows is a mess. Desktop arrangement is totally chaotic. You have to use a desktop arrangement program.
ОтветитьI will literally unexaggeratedly die without Windows‘ snapping.
ОтветитьThis obsession with cinematic shots of desk set ups with sweeping shots of keyboards etc on every video is just infuriating. We don't need to see that.
Ответитьthe one thing that I wish windows has that mac does is hot corners thats how I switch windows and programs much quicker and easier then any key combo
ОтветитьWindows is just better.
ОтветитьMac Screenshot Keyboard shortcuts: basic screenshot tasks, require you to have all 10 of your fingers in tact to jostle with those shortcuts.
ОтветитьGoing to file path, can also be done from the search too or Win + Pasteing path + Enter.
ОтветитьOpening File Explorer from anywhere; keyboard shortcut: Win + E.
ОтветитьYou shouldn't have made this vid, the war between mac users and windows users gonna start now
ОтветитьThat window screenshot in MacOS is insane 😂 And the fact that it doesn't save to the clipboard is crazy...
ОтветитьWhere Windows falls short in explorer vs finder, is the lack of column view for easy visual traversal
ОтветитьIm using mac and im super annoyed i can't resize the window as i wanted
Ответитьthis video is just bashing Mac. Command+X works on Mac too, and its easier to just drag and drop. More intuitive and much easier on BOTH operating systems. on Mac, you can even drag and drop on one window because macOS lets you move through folders while dragging one item. You can hover it over a folder or location on the sidebar, and after it blinks, it switches to that location and you can do that as many times as you want. A lot of things on macOS is just as easy if not easier than windows, but he's just not showing you that in the video.
Ответитьthis kind of video is always fun to watch because invariably the macos version is missing huge details. like shift-command-5, which brings up a screenshot utility where all types are immediately available to the user. can even screen record and save to a specific location from there.
ОтветитьAhh, did anyone forget
ChromeOS?
System clipboard is far more friendly in Windows too. You can simply click Win+V and select from recently copied items.
ОтветитьIs this a real or ai voice i cant tell
Ответитьwindows sucks ass
ОтветитьAs someone who uses both OSes, this video was great.
Ответить⌘ + ` on macOS to cycle between windows of the same app. So say you have multiple Safari windows, using this shortcut with cycle through all open Safari windows.
ОтветитьThis video is SOOOO HELPFULL!
ОтветитьWindow snapping in macos can be enhanced with third party apps. Also, I think why Apple didn’t put much feature for window snapping because they want people to use Stage Manager. For me, I prefer Stage Manager instead of window snapping, while for others maybe the opposite.
ОтветитьGot it. Windows intuitive. Mac unintuitive. The only better thing on Mac was multi file naming... which I have never used.
ОтветитьI own both. I have to use a Mac for work (developer) and I quite like it. I just miss the much superior alt tab functionality of windows and have therefore installed an app called alt tab.
IT guys at my company are cool with me using this app, but I'm afraid if I switch companies, there might be stricter restrictions there and I'll have to let go of this amazing productivity tool.
