Here are some quotes attributed to Marie Curie:

1. "Nothing in life is to be feared, it is only to be understood. Now is the time to understand more, so that we may fear less."

2. "I am one of those who think like Nobel, that humanity will draw more good than evil from new discoveries."

3. "You cannot hope to build a better world without improving the individuals. To that end, each of us must work for our own improvement and, at the same time, share a general responsibility for all humanity, our particular duty being to aid those to whom we think we can be most useful."

4. "Be less curious about people and more curious about ideas."

5. "I was taught that the way of progress is neither swift nor easy."

6. "A scientist in his laboratory is not a mere technician: he is also a child confronting natural phenomena that impress him as though they were fairy tales."

7. "Life is not easy for any of us. But what of that? We must have perseverance and, above all, confidence in ourselves. We must believe that we are gifted for something and that this thing must be attained."

8. "You must never be fearful about what you are doing when it is right."

These quotes reflect Marie Curie's wisdom, determination, and her passion for science and humanity.

I am reading Biography of Marie Curie written by her younger daughter Eve Curie. It is phenomenal book of grit and sacrifice. She and her husband lived their life exactly like Karm Yoga of Bhagwat Geeta. They were the Krishna of modern Europe. (Krishna as concept means the topper of a field)

Look at all of the negative effects that uranium has had to the world! The bombs and other weapons that has killed millions and millions of people, the environmental disasters from the radioactive waste! Yes it can be a very good thing, but unfortunately people have used it for evil more than good!
