LG G2 OLED vs Sony A95K QD-OLED | Premium 4K TV Comparison

I have both. The 65” Sony A95K in the bedroom and 77” LG G2 in the living room. If you’re considering on or the other overall I prefer it the sony. I prefer the user interface and the remote and the wifi is better. I have to use an apple TV with the LG to improve wifi and responsiveness. As far as picture quality they shine in their own ways. On most content the Sony does a better job of consistently handling shadows and colors and didn’t require much fiddling with to make things look great. It looks superb without changing anything really. You have to really delve into the LG G2 menu to get the right settings to make things look good. But there have been some things that looked better on the G2. It has a punchier more saturated way of displaying colors even though the sony technically has brighter colors. For example in House of Dragons the jewels on princess Rhaenyra pops more on the LG. Both are great TVs. If I could get the Sony in 77” I would have bought 2 of them 😂.

It took me a good month to decide, so many great tvs out there, but ive finally decided on the A95K. Its perfect for what im looking for. And i had the X95H which i loved so i know Sony makes a great Tv

I bought a open box C2 55 inch and paired it with the new Apple TV 4K and I won’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone who has apple products. I’m sure it works well with androids I personally have no experience with it.

I must say,..in many pic shown .. LG G2 show much better than SONY..some LG lose from sony..but LG dominate the comparison..NO OFFENSE..I must say the truth?! If u disagree..u must check ur eyes to optic store😂😅

Regarding the white highlights, it’s not the panel. I’ve had the C2 42” and a90k next to each other which have the same panel, and for whatever reason Sony just doesn’t like to push white highlights. Not surprised it’s the same way on the a95k. It wasn’t a brightness issue either as the a90k would regularly push mid tones harder in some scenes than the LG.

Hello everyone, I recently bought a brand new G2 77 inch for 3000 euros, I'm from Bucharest, Romania, I got it at a big discount because the new g3 series is coming out, the TV is amazing, PC games, 4k movies and netflix are amazing on this TV,for maximum quality picture i recomend a pc with at least rtx 3080 video card,gaming at 120fps with ray tracing its amazing ,bravo LG, you are always closer to the average consumer and offer decent prices on top models at certain times of the year,unfortunately I can't say the same about Sony TVs, very expensive for what they offer, I wish you all the best!!

So what about the A95k now vs the G3? 🤔

What to choose?
I have a Samsung KS8000 4k LED TV and its time for me to upgrade to an OLED. I definitely want my TV wall mounted with as sleek a look as possible (like the G2) but I also reaaaaally want the Sony processor as I’ve heard it’s incredible for movie-watching. Should I choose the G2 or the A95k? Or even wait for the G3 and A95L? Price and gaming aren’t important factors. 😅

Although I don't have the more expensive G2, I did grab the 55" LG B2. I feel like the B series has been slept on, because it's an absolute beast of a TV.

BUT..........I THINK THAT THE DIFFERENCES ARE SMALL BETWEEN THESE TWO FANTASTIC TV'S.......!!!

I believe are they making OLED brighter slowly on purpose to maximize their profits.

Sony has better color but not by much. It's only roughly 20 percent difference. Let's be honest, picture on both are similar.

This guy is praising the Sony almost all video while I can't keep my eyes off the LG hahaha. Idk, the LG colors look punchier and nicer, specially the reds, overall just a warmer look. Maybe in person the Sony edges out but it doesn't seem like that in this video imo.

My phone is great...

I was able to snag a 65" C1 for $1,700 last year and I'm still impressed with it. I'm very happy with it and I won't be upgrading for a few years until I can get a 77" QD OLED for $2,000.

What I take from this is for $3k get a 65” a95k or a 77” G2 and you will be a happy camper

I have never been a fan of LG but the G2 is way better than A95K ...G2 is brilliantly brighter and sharper...

this all said, it comes down to the content (movies, files, games, HDR, DV etc) of what you are watching, and if you would perceive the quality

This is such a hard decision. Both brands are super tight!!! Either way I would be super happy with either!!

I have a 65 CX and I'm almost tempted to pull the trigger on the a95k. But I want a 77 inch tv. Hopefully next year sony will have more sizes

Is the a95k limited to 4k 60Hz for dolby vision and but the g2 can do 4k 120Hz?
