I like how pithy and concise you are. Please also add longer vids that go more in-depth than these basic beginner levels, for those of us who crave deeper, more complex, more mentally stimulating levels of nuance than a 2 minute video is capable of offering (which is more than likely the majority of your audience when the topic is neuroscience).

can you make things more practical more general public instead of throwing theoretical knowledge.
You should give it a thought. Once who searches for reward system and how it works in humans wanted to know more about practicality not theory.

This is going to sound very dumb bc I have no idea about neuroscience. Could you figure out how to stop the production of dopamine when given *heroin/drugs what ever and get the pleasure/pain relief without the urge to want to get more ?

it's important to know that we are always pleasure predicting, and that is part of how we know where to go, where to move, what to say, eat think etc. This is predictive coding, and dopamine is involved in the prediction of pleasure, and when what we then do correlates with the prediction we experience pleasure, when it doesn't we experience dysphoria. Thus avoiding prediction error is something people tend to do in order to minimize dysphoria- hence why we like to hang out in places that confirm our view of the world- like internet echo chambers.

But the first step towards activating the reward system is the pleasant sitmuli right? How does pleasure relate to reward? How does it relate to the VTA?
