So, do you think sim racing is better with VR than a monitor set up?
ОтветитьYou should try this again. VR has made some great strides.
Ответитьcan't wait to play Gran Truismo 7 in VR
ОтветитьHeadsets have improve since this video. I ditched my monitors and only drive in VR. I use the HP reverb g2.
Ответитьpsvr2
Ответитьall my kids will have compulsory assetto corsa vr sessions before even touching a real car
Ответитьwould it be possible to coach in VR?
ОтветитьYou should redo this with the most modern sets
ОтветитьI'm going there today for my birthday and I'm 10 🎉🎉
Ответитьget this guy a G2.
ОтветитьThe key words I believe were depth perception. For me VR and motion are a no brainer to be consistent and fast. The negatives of VR is heat but I solved that with fans. It can be a bit clumsy with VR I found but the positives out way the negatives.
ОтветитьPlaying around with the settings can improve the vr graphics but there's currently no GPU available todat that can push out the needed render resolution in AC to get a 1:1 resolution to a VR headset, at 90 fps (or better) with all the graphic options turned on.
The biggest issue I find in VR is that it's hard to judge how fast you're really going so it's very easy to hit a corner too fast and go off the track. I'd guess it's probably because everything is in focus (vs what you're looking at). The next generation headsets, with inside eye tracking will be able to effectively use foviated rendering to more closely match how we see with our eyes while improving performance as the areas you're not looking at can be rendered at a lower resolution.
Try it in Quest2
Ответитьjust bought a VR after see your videos ....and ists lovely mate , lot of improvements as well.
ОтветитьI've been messing with vr since the dk2 days and I must say I had quite an experience with sim racing with vr. My dallara dw12 "suddenly" lost the rear end and my brain tricked me into "feeling" the spin. I literally felt my bum sliding. Lmao it sounds silly but its happened a few times already. It's amazing. Long live VR
ОтветитьPlease stop the Mickey Mouse music. It literally hurts my ears.
ОтветитьWhat's the best headset in 2021? You get less FOV with VR compared to triples don't you?
ОтветитьI love how Scott Mansell's wiki page immediately states "Not related to Nigel"
ОтветитьLol, he was playing Assetto Corsa. That stupid arcade driving game with a rabid fanbase of losers who create fake accounts to advertise that smoking pile of garbage all over the internet.
ОтветитьVR allows for a more natural view and superior depth perception. Great in rally games where the nose of the car isn’t always facing forwards, etc...
ОтветитьIMHO, VR mode is much more realistic than monitor display. But it was a bit painful to play because my body felt gap between visual signals and sense of balance.
ОтветитьBut the kids on steam said the simulator tag is a joke on this game, who can I belive?
ОтветитьHave seen pilots test a flighsimulator witrh vr, they also say, it feels so much more real. clöoser to the "real thing" ^^
ОтветитьIt's amazing how it shook him too.
ОтветитьI just got VR today, it makes me super nauseous. I hope I get used to it soon
ОтветитьYep I know this is an older video by Scott but I def agree! VR was the key to me to swap from triples to the DIY 3DOF rig. adding V3's and CSL helps too. Lot of videos posted so take a look if you get a chance. Love this STUFF!!! DMAX
Ответитьnice :)
ОтветитьI’m slow in flat racing but I can compete in vr. That settles it for me.
ОтветитьRacing harness for sim racing, oh my days.
Ответитьim wondering..in long term it doesn't effect your eyes isn't it?
ОтветитьWhat VR is that
ОтветитьRfactor , iracing???
ОтветитьAnd I’m still using single screen and WASD playing
Ответитьwell 6Dof vs 0Dof makes a world in difference
ОтветитьOnce my eyes adjust to the slightly blurry vr. Its scary immersive. You also get the sense of speed which you wont get with a single screen.
ОтветитьI already seen your video in VR with Lenovo Explorer headset in 2020 , we know is the best way
ОтветитьThanks for the video. From my real world racing experience VR makes it much easier to judge and feel the car with added depth perception and sense of speed. From triples to VR...VR you get up to speed faster and im more consistent too.
ОтветитьVR is just on a completely different level than anything else. Correct field of view and depth is amazing.
ОтветитьVR headset should come in helmet shape. That should enhance experience even more.
ОтветитьI think is defficult to feel the speed
ОтветитьYou should retry this on the vive index and hp reverb. I'd Luke to know your opinion on the new headsets with better resolution
ОтветитьTry it with a pimax with high fov. Now that's epic! I dabble in triples sometimes but there's just nothing that beat vr besides the real thing
ОтветитьSeeing the pixels in the headset is called "screendoor effect". If they upgrade their headset to the Valve Index, you'll see a LOT less of that because it has double the pixel density than all other headsets in the market.
Ответить....why are you wearing a seat belt?
ОтветитьMay I ask you y do u have 3 TVs if ur using a vr
ОтветитьDo the motion on the rig improve your driving? I can install it on my rig but it cost $3000.
Ответитьyep vr is beter then a screen for racing, have htc vive and it's a blast, but not for very long sessions due to the low image quality, imo.
ОтветитьDon't take this as an insult or anything, but when you wear the VR, you look way younger, and I don't know why.
Ответить
