Yeah...how these instruments work is beyond my comprehension, hence why I don't work for NASA. I guess the important thing is they have acquired a lot of interesting data, even if I can't wrap my head around how they do it. Pretty neat though.

The next probe should feature a measuring capsule, a 10km tether to a balloon, and another 10km balloon above that to hold the transceiver. This will allow a much longer communication window to the mother ship in orbit.

Why does it even matter what's on or inside Jupiter?

More like a star than a planet? That statement is 100% incorrect.

With technology and everything they should send back another one. I'm sure they could build one that would last a lot better and can get a heck of a lot better view of inside Jupiter.

Crushing gravity no solid surface in Jupiter experts say but shoemaker levy proved it wrong. It did not sink in molten surface. It was burning on solid surface.

The core or layers near it.. have to be iron, carbon in all its forms, other 'rocky' minerals and elements, basically anything found on Earth but millions of times more of them.. So where is it? Vast materials make up all of the rocky planets and that should be reflected in the gas giants as well.

The shoemaker levy comet struck something. You can plainly see that impact happened as the comet entered "the gas giant" atmosphere.
It didn't go into the gases of a gas giant.

Jupiter might be the most powerful magnetic field balancing the Solar System energy to pull all matter into it ...remember the centrifugal & centripetal forces that keeps the Earth and Human life in a fixed orbit....we are all spinning through existence until we do the final mining of the Earth entire core for our consumption.
