Common issue, if this is set to Public, network likely will not work :
Start > Settings > Network & Internet > Status > Properties > Network profile = Private
or: Right-click Taskbar Network icon > Open...Settings > Properties > Network profile = Private

Very helpful, thanks Shafi Even after all this, I still couldn't get my PC to show up in the network and this enabled me to solve the problem but with one further step. I had just done a clean install of Window 10 Pro but it would not show in my network. I tried and tried then I noticed that if I set the Function Discovery Resource Service to automatic it kept resetting to Automatic (trigger Start) on restart. Playing a bit more I found that restarting this service ALWAYS made my PC show up in the network. Stopping it prevented my PC from showing. This worked every time but when I restarted it didn't show up and "trigger start" was there again. DON'T DO THE NEXT BIT WITHOUT CHECKING WHAT IT DOES FIRST AS I ASSUME THERE IS A VERY GOOD REASON FOR THE TRIGGER START. IN MY CASE I WAS SO WOUND UP THAT I WAS HAPPY TO TAKE THE RISK BUT CHECK FIRST WHAT THE NEXT STEP DOES! I finally fixed it by downloading a free app called Service Trigger Editor. It is easy to remove the trigger with this app and the service then restarts as automatic start (no trigger) and my PC shows up in network computers, every time and on every PC I have used it on. BUT PLEASE DO EVERYTHING SHAFI SUGGESTS FIRST AS ALL THESE STEPS ARE NECESSARY AND CHECK IT IS OKAY TO DO THIS FIRST! If someone could please tell me why trigger start is necessary I'd very grateful. I may even reverse this step if it is doing any harm but several no show PC's showing fine at the moment. Hope this helps someone!

The Function discovery service was running already so I restarted it and suddenly my showed up on the network. I did the same on my sons pc and they both work now. Thank you so much
