Here’s the deal. If I had magic that could make me young and hot forever. Up until I was ehem.. cut down. I would use it for that purpose and use it well. Sex doesn’t just sell, it’s power unto itself. Hell, Renata sells cosmetics. Cosmetics. Which are notoriously used by people of all ages races and demographics to appear appealing. If I could splash a little dark cosmic snow slurry on my face like Lissandra, or gaze into a magic mirror from Snow White, that would be infinitely more effective.

I have a question regarding your thumbnail - with every what's the deal with...? video you always have a really nice font presenting the topic of the video - do you create these fonts yourself, commision someone else or find these somewhere on the internet and alter some of its aspects?

I thought at first the story at the end was part of Renata's official story, until I saw the note about her parents names. It's absolutely excellent.

I never really got the feeling of youth from Kalista.

Renata has to be my favorite champion in the way of lore, or at least one of my favorite. I hope her story has a mix of a “good” and bad ending. When I mean “good” I mean good for her. She deserves a bad ending but it would be amazing if she won in some way.

I find it interesting how Renata is subtly but noticeably thinner of build in the model vs the splash art. but for the art it could be the angle. I wonder which one is the intent

I think Renata hates herself as much she hates Piltover. I don't think she expects to survive much longer after she brings the city down. The way I see it she just wants to be with her parents.

Oh, I like her alot

The way I see Renata Glasc, is that once, she was a somewhat upright person. She was looking to make a profit from her parent's concoctions and cures, but she never charged the poor for her cures, only the rich who didn't even need the money anyway. Besides, how would they know the cures and cosmetics are free down in Zaun? Lord knows they'd never even think to step down onto real dirt with the rest of us. Maybe, if life went differently, she could've been a punk hero. A true Zaunite Robin Hood. Overcharging the rich to give back to her city, eventually helping it overall and maybe even closing the gap between Piltover and Zaun a little bit.

But no. No, the rich could never allow their pedestal to be lowered, or the ground bettered. No, the structure MUST stay in place. Those trying to rise, must be forced to fall. So, they pushed her into the mud, and buried her parents underneath it. This is not that different, imaginary life. This is the real life, and in real life, wolves make sure to make the prey stay prey.

And so, the clever, shrewd little fox rose herself from the mud, gazing back up at her oppressors with the blood red glare of a vengeful wolf, ready to snap tight her jaws on their greedy necks. They ruined her life, they forced her to play by their games, they made her dirty . There's no going back from what they made her, so she's more than willing to play and beat them at their own game to exact her revenge. She'll get as dirty as she needs to in order to stomp on the heads of all that pushed her down. She'll kill who she needs to kill, manipulate who she needs to manipulate, to get to the top, and burn it all down. Because, what's a little blood when you're already covered in mud?

She tried to be better, she tried to do it a different way, and her parents died for it. So fine, if they wanna play like that, she'll make sure she wins.

My hope is that Renata will become a huge villain in Arcane season 2

As well as Seraphine getting updated lore and aiding Ekko

Camille making an appearance, and maybe even Urgot fighting Vi and Caitlyn

It always amazes me just how much Skyen will overanalyse something (in a good or bad way) even if the answer is clearly "beautiful characters are more popular"
Like, we may want it to not be the case, but everybody knows and can see that beautiful female and male characters are more popular than ugly ones.
Ms Fortune was made to be the beautiful pirate lady with guns almost as big as her breasts. No amount of "her life was harsh blablabla" is gonna change the fact that if MF isn't hot, then it's not MF and she won't sell skins.

Same thing happened when people complained about Kaisa. Her skins and playerbase wouldn't be as big if she didn't look like a model.
We can twist ourselves into knots trying to find good reasons for them to NOT make beautiful characters, but as a company, Riot, and every other company, is gonna look at the data and come to the conclusion that making a character that actually looks like a Crone is a terrible idea.

I'll never understand the argument that LoL should probably have less characters.
Some are more boring, some are old, but they've still all got fans and they also for the most part all add something to the universe.
It's the variety and diversity of characters that has always made LoL stand out even before its universe was rewritten to actually make sense.

Dang the way you write t her scene of her winning is incredible. It makes me long for her to make an appearance in Arcane in a much later season as a villian or like anti hero.

Her skins also tell good stories from their design, and I just love them!!

Ngl it would be really fitting for Renata Glasc to be the new main villian in S2 of Arcane!

You can get rid of all champs with invisibility. It's an unfun, overpowered mechanic that doesn't really serve the game.
