More of a hex crimp man myself..no loose strands ...gota love the lack of arm ache at the end of the day though with the hydraulic crimpers.

I prefer hexagonal crimps.

Indent crimpers should be banned

That looks awful, hex crimp or nothing.

Are these indent crimps allowed? I was taught as an apprentice it must be a hex type due to risk of overheating at the point of compression

That looks like a rather shitty crimp. Those strands directly beneath the point of pressure, will be deformed way too much.
