Ответитьwhen are we going to see devlogs again?
ОтветитьHi mate, do u want a interview with me ? Im the dev of CRUDE 😊
ОтветитьFirst
ОтветитьThere is probably a qualified psychologist/therapist out there who chooses to make gamedev content instead ;)
ОтветитьThis is the most wholesome US Army ad I’ve ever heard
ОтветитьI quit making games cuz of Unity, but I hope it could pick my interest again in the future at a lower level than using an engine.
Ответитьso when is your game coming out ?
ОтветитьThank you so much!
What I love the most about your videos is the way you open up about how you feel/felt and are not afraid of showing the vulnerabilities.
It really helps to know that we are not alone in this scary boat. Loved this video, and in general this type of video you produce. I also love your interviews with other devs because you always try to go to a deeper, more personal level.
I have quit Unity for Godot now, so I won't be benefiting from your Unity tutorials, but your other videos never miss bringing me inspiration and motivation.
I just watched a spotify where the guy said almost this exact same thing in this exact order 🤣
ОтветитьI stumbled on your podcast a couple weeks ago and it inspired me to quit my full time job to pursue indie game dev. My last day of work is this Friday and this video has helped turn a lot of the anxiety into excitement. Thank you for making this
Ответитьgreat vid, just what I needed to hear today after a rough week of problem after problem in my game. Gonna set this up as my homepage/new tab page.
ОтветитьThis & Steven Pressfield are all I need. Lets do it friends! 👊
ОтветитьDo I like making games?
All that struggle legitimately makes me question why I'm making games in the first place and sometimes I feel like that amount of struggle outweighs the potential payoff I could've gotten when finishing a project. Am I doing it because I like games? Because I like the feeling when I'm done? Do I enjoy the process? I've been (trying to) make games for years and I still don't have an answer there. Sometimes it makes me wonder if I just like fantasizing. Despite having the skills and knowhow to make a game, I can't really put these skills to use.
If you're going into game dev with all of these negative emotions you describe you probably should go into a different line of full time work. This video isn't for everyone out there working on game dev. And if a lot of people talk poorly about your game chances are you need to take a long hard look at what you're doing because a lot of games out there truly do suck and deserve all of the negative attention. Just because you want to make a game doesn't mean you're cut out for it.
ОтветитьThanks mate, I needed that.
ОтветитьThis is also a successful video secret and it works by convincing the audience to watch this every day LAMAO
great video
Thank you
ОтветитьJust do it!
ОтветитьI like what it says... but I also feel like I was given reverse-psycology... I don't know why either...
Ответитьgreat video 😊
ОтветитьVery inspirational. Thanks for sharing.
ОтветитьI'm on the same path, minus the family
ОтветитьThanks for this video.
As a Game Dev with almost 10 years trying, failling and not launching mostly of my games.
I needed this words. I'll try harder next time
Very motivational. Thanks you🙏
ОтветитьGreat channel. You guys are awesome.
ОтветитьLove your motivation
ОтветитьDO IT! 😅
ОтветитьThank you <3
ОтветитьOh, man, you hit right in the soul. I've dedicated eighteen years to commercial game development and have already lost sight of why I entered this industry in the first place. I have nothing to be proud of except the KPIs achieved for companies that mean little to me. However, I truly desire to create at least one game purely for the essence of gameplay
ОтветитьThanks
ОтветитьLiked , Subscribed !! " If You love making games.. Do not let yourself quit" Thank you very much !! My video game has been released, but no one is interested, and no one is playing. However, I am still trying every day to edit and improve it to the best of my abilities
ОтветитьOK. So let me bring you down to the ground. This video sells the idea, that enough persistance and hardwork is enough to be successfull in indie. Yes it is.. given that you have many, many years to spare. But if you don't want to ruin yourself economically, you want to have a life, you want too keep your sanity, this is not the way...
Yes, skill is important, yes, market research is important, yes business plan (a business plan for worst case scenario) is important, experience, education, budget is important. You need to be 80% smart and experienced, and 20% passionate about it. Pure passion is definitively not enough
Great vid man! Consistency is key, I've been a part time dev for a couple years now and I can totally agree with that sentiment. Found you when you had 12k subs glad you are growing!
ОтветитьREAL
ОтветитьThanks man! I really feel better after this...
ОтветитьJust what I needed today! Thank you for sharing the energy and love 💖
Ответитьi keep coming back to this for fuel!!!!!
