Thank you for this. QUESTION: Do you iron the seams open after cutting?

I have 6 yards of a silk sari. Is it possible to use it without cutting into 1/2 yard pieces?

Thank you for this video. Can you tell me-should I cut the savages off first? Which is the right side of the fabric? When you say the lines cross, what do you mean? Thank you.

I’m sorry, I know this is an older video, but I can’t find this hinged ruler online. Can you tell me again what the name of it is. The link you provided is no longer available. Thank your!

How wide is your fabric? Wondering how I’d do this with a piece 30x40

Could you sew the piece you cut off to the other side to reduce waste? I see that a lot with people using a square of fabric to begin with.

Hooray! Thank you so much! I really appreciated that you pointed out yours wasn't perfect--it reassured me when mine wasn't either. The bias strip is amazing and I'm so excited to have this new skill!

I just tried this for the first time. It worked. However, I think you need to redo this video. I had to watch it like 6 times to make sure I was seeing what you were doing. It would be very helpful if you could see it better and maybe use a print so people can see there is a right and wrong side. Also maybe include some of Monelle Richmonds comments in the new video. I pressed my seem before cutting then I used a small green cutting matt to insert in the tube and was able to cut mine up very quickly with my rotary cutter.

Sew can she has a much easier 5 minute turorial on continous bias binding. But I get what and why the quilters would want a longer binding for a quilt.

Unfortunately, I couldn’t see the lines. Are they draw on the right side of the fabric?

Thank you! I needed to make 10 yards of bias tape to make piping for an upholstery project. Your tutorial made the process painless! I had to make the last yard and a half the 'old way' and this was so much easier.
