Five vulnerabilities in the PJSIP open-source multimedia communication library were uncovered by JFrog's Security Principal Investigator.PJSIP is a C-based communication library that implements industry-standard protocols such as SIP, SDP, RTP, STUN, TURN, and ICE. It integrates SIP, a rich multimedia infrastructure, and NAT traversal features into an elevated API that is portable and suited for a wide range of platforms, including PCs, embedded devices, and mobile phones.The APT provided by the library may be used by IP telephony applications, including VoIP devices, and includes audio, video, presence, and instant messaging.WhatsApp, BlueJeans, and Asterisk are just a few of the significant communication apps that use the library.A hacker can use the issues to achieve arbitrary code execution on devices that run apps that use the vulnerabilities. #Pjsip #Cybersecurity #News
