Got the key this week! It seems kinda useless but I might try it. I only have 40 Instagram followers so it seems strange to choose me.

Hey guys my instagram explore page started showing me disgusting or wierd stuff (for example bugs in a place or like people with strange stuff, etc) why does this happen and what should i do to get rid of it?

This has done to my acct without my consent, or knowledge. Opened it up one day & couldn't see all of my conversations with others. I hate it!!!!!!

As an artist that only uses IG for sharing my work, this feature is amazing! Sometimes I want to post a picture totally unrelated to what I post normally, and now I can without having two separate accounts! I love this! I can’t wait for it to drop

I think the story feature is gonna be like snapchat streaks from their quote on instagram

I think the stories update is a response to people skipping through a long string of reposted stories - like when someone reposts a bunch of their “happy birthday” tagged posts. People, including me, skip or completely exit stories once I see they’re reposting a bunch of tagged “happy bday” posts. This feature would eliminate people skipping or exiting the app all together, ideally.

Did anybody get a feature where the follow button is just black and white instead of blue?

As a content creator for brands and business, this story feature could be useful in the way that if I shoot something for a story, I don't have to spend time airdropping and all that. Same with my wedding photography, I always have a content creator for the couple and this could be a great help for streamlining the process

Imho, they made flipside, bc the trend goes to private accounts (anyway). There’s a ton of people having two accounts: one private, one public. But even more people have private accounts all together, bc they don’t want to share their life’s with strangers.
I think “flipside” is there to encourage those people to open up to the public. 🤷

how do we do the collection thing?

I'm not monetised on instagram yet so for all my non drinking I can use more dinners how about someone cooks me veges and pasta I don't ask charity's so my special dinners are on the books❤❤❤❤

The saying is " see you on the flipside" like in see you tomorrow. Im already emotionally dome with the broadcasting feature on IG and now this. Sounds like a discord thing.

I know this isn't new, but I have been getting so much interaction from Facebook pushing my ig reels. Like hundreds of thousands of views on stuff i normally have a few hundred on. I'm appreciative and have had lots of new followers bc of it but I just want to figure out how and why it is happening.

It's old slang. The flip side is when you turn the LP over in record player. It was a cool thing to say if you were a black kid in the 1970s in ubran America places like Detroit Chicago Boston Etc. My parents still talk like this.

I just started creating on YT and my IG is from before I was publicly creating. I’ve wanted to go on IG to promote my channel but was thinking I’d have to make a new account: keep my old IG private. Flipside would be so relevant for me. Do you know how long it’s going to be in testing for?

Idk if “see you on the flip side” is considered cool to say currently, but my dad has definitely said that phrase to me over the years 😂. I’m in the U.S. by the way.

Honestly, for the type of content I post I can’t really see myself using most of these features. The folder sharing thing sounds interesting though because I create a lot of artwork in series format, and being able to share / update all the art for a series in one place would be useful.

Flipside = finsta

I like the idea of flipside, not as private profile (I already have a profile for that, lol) but for example, I'm an artist (drawing) , but my main feature is queer content. Anything that isn't queer art feels out of place, and such, i don't explore it often. Well, thinking on flipside, now I can have an alternate art account that still linked to my main account for non-queer art content. Altho, I think I woulnd not found out if it work that way until I get a had to it.

I’d rather have one for my business and one for my personal brand with stuff that don’t fit my business. Agree with some comments here tho, they’re doing too much but the features aren’t different enough to make it worth it.
