We Happy Few: The Story Explained

These games are more like real life than most people know. NWO, propaganda, populace controlling drugs, comprised evil scientists etc etc.

It feels a lot like what they are trying to turn the UK into now..

I love this game and the story. They really need to make this into a film. A film for Arthur’s story and shows for Ollie and Sally’s story and then maybe another movie set in the DLC and we could see if Arthur ever finds his brother

The game has a good story and a solid ending (nothing to big) but the gameplay turns people down which is a shame. I just hope they do a remaster or a remake (that could add cut content) to fix bugs and glitches but I still love the game

Well after playing the game I found out where most of the meat is from and no its not from rats. They're actually eating PEOPLE. The Strange meat you find in random houses is actually HUMAN MEAT They're cannibalizing each other without even knowing it

So this is a Wolfenstein-like universe but without the Da'at Yishud

This deserved to be a movie, not a game. The storytelling is phenomenal, the game design not so much.

the only thing i don't like about this game's story isn't even really about the story itself, its about how the game marketed itself. "3 bad people" implies that sally is a bad person, but i don't understand how anything she did in her past or present makes her a bad person, at least in comparison to someone like arthur.

Honestly the game definitely has a special place in my heart but it's also dark to see what it was like in those times of World War II but most importantly the saddest story of the mall was down to the T is Sally's and second place would have to be Ollie's.

A large portion of this game is just a bunch of fetch quests separate from the main story. I hate it when game developers do that, it just feels like needless padding.

Honestly I thought this game was awesome but they could have gone a lot deeper in the lore and mechanics and by the time I was more I started Ollie's story I kind of just wanted to finish the game. If I fumbled into millions of dollars, I would 100% finance the sequel and call it "We Happy Many"

The first part with Arthur was quite easy, just very long, and I love that, the next part just put in a whole new mechanic and I my brain could not handle such multi tasking, but nonetheless. An amazing game, and amazing experience.

It does make me wonder something: what exactly is the world outside of the town like. The clothing of the boy at the end might possibly suggest a more noticeably impoverished one, but that’s a stretch of an assumption. Did the Germans still lose in the end? Did they win and effectively vassalize/puppet the UK/Great Britain/England? If so, are they still by the 1960s, or did they end up having to pull out for one reason or another? If the world outside is fine, what exactly is the need to keep the town cut off from the outside world and hooked on joy? There’s actually a lot of questions in regards to the wider world in the universe of we happy few.

This gam had an amazing story, i just think the game would be better if the world was not procedurally generated

ive loved we happy few for literal years and for some reason my love of it just got reignited and lile this video was so interesting to watch i havent seen any we happy few content in like over a year but im thoroughly enjoying it again i literally love the plot, its really similar to Brave New World, which i actually heard from a creator of We Happy few that they based their game partially of that book which is so cool

Even though the tanks were papier mache i find it quite likely that the Germans would have, if necessary, brought in actual tanks to fight so all in all the very bad thing was necessary.

It's a tad sad that the We Happy Few movie never finished production. Each act could easily be it's own movie. Perhaps maybe also a TV series? "We(llington Wells') Happy Few". Each episode stars a different character faced with their own problems in Wellington Wells this can go from the garden district, maindenholm, appleholm, the parade, every corner of wellington wells. Each episode will have at least some connection to the main characters or their story. And at the end of every single one of the episodes, the character we follow will always either die, become a downer, or made character development only to lose it all to Joy OD.

We Happy Few should add the content warnings in the remake version because it contains violence, blood, vomit, disturbing content, sexual content, drugs, and strong language. If the "Censored Language" setting is on, it replaces bad language with the bleep sound in the dialogues, and the subtitles replace words with "redacted" instead. The "Show Content Warning" setting is also on the menu. If you select the "Show Content Warning" setting is on, it shows players a content warning notification before scenes that could be potentially disturbing or inappropriate.

There's the "Hide disturbing/inappropriate scenes" setting on the game menu. If the player selects the "Hide disturbing/inappropriate scenes" setting is on, it hides some of the most disturbing/inappropriate scenes behind a screen effect. (Note: that audio is not affected.)

Yup, i did not finished the whole game. Devs should've kept my progress from the Act 1 to Act 2. Not only you start from scratch, but Sally can't even whack people on the head with strong attack.

This video didn't explain the main thing I was left wondering about unfortunately, which is what is the outside world like? Is it in ruins? How could wellington wells stay so isolated unless everything outside is destroyed too?

I just finished this game and it's interesting to hear it didn't get received well. I actually think it had some truly exceptional moments despite some flaws. Really memorable!

Hi, thanks for the video, I upgraded my PC and was excited for playing this game and went through a good portion of Arthur's story... but even ignoring the bad combat and stealth mechanics, the game proved itself being just a lot of fetch quests one after another and the distances were so far away I hated it lol decided to drop it and just watch this.

This might be my favorite game in general, the second place being Dark Deception (my favorite horror game and overall favorite piece of horror media in general)

While Arthur’s play through was more linear and story based like bioshock, Sally’s play through was more open world and had a cooler story and characters. I feel like Olly’s act was a little dumb with the insulin parts lol, but at that point you just wanna know how the story ends! Definitely flawed, but very intriguing and beautiful

We never find out what happened to the children

No hate but I couldn’t finish this game. The mechanics are really tedious and it’s overall not enjoyable and it makes me sad because I was really interested in the story
