this is NOT a GAME, there is nothing playable, this is like alpha demo + character creation editor .... gameplay? where? show us , especially when everyone has a black screen after pressing start, and the price of this "masterpiece" is the same as Hogwarts Legacy, seriously? as for the patch that they made, as the screen was black, it remained ....

Well, game is out and it's already cracked, available to download for free from "less than legal" sites so their anti piracy efforts kinda failed.
According to modders, there also won't be much problems.
It really is Honey Select mechanics with Koikatsu artstyle and free roam option added, so it really is Illusion rebranded. Shame that character cards from Honey Select or Koikatsu do not work, tho

Well, that's great news for sure! But as I said in a comment of your previous video, if you haven't read it yet, they should definitely go for a life simulation-like approach because there is some competition regarding The Sims franchise nowadays like Paralives and Life by You and I'm referring to Honey Select which has a character customization mechanic as it fits that particular genre. That could be a good thing for them and it could have potential if they put their hard work into it. It's something to think about. But then again, only time will tell. Anyway, I'm glad that Illgames was founded and I wish them all the best for many years to come. Have a nice day!

first time ive noticed that they have an english version to preorder.

I want illusion to realize the mod scene is bigger than what the company could provide, both IP lawsuit and sheer content wise. If they ever make modding scene difficult, they are gonna find out real quick what ever sell they had would be correlated with people interested in content that mod provides. Some other game developers made wise decision and used community mod to improve their own base game by integrating it, but illusion is just rolling around doing nothing.

i love everything from japan tho, Anime, There games, and yeah Illusion software, followed em for a very long time and yeah seen there game since
and to see an old company like that go puff is really sad :S
also a game collector on different platforms like steam and gog,
so i hate to see art just vanish instead of it being preserved on some webpage where people can buy it or just download it

Splitting off the studio as it's own software might open the door for improvements there which I would welcome a lot, however the whole modding situation makes me very cautious. It doesn't really matter how many assets they put in on their own, they simply can not match the sheer volume of work a large fanbase can put out, especially for niche stuff.

I love the Illusion, shame they had to change it.

This feels like a case of "i created a monster" and they tried to tame it, but they couldn't so they rebranded to distance themselves from it...
KK is a jewel, and thanks to the modding community, the creation possibilities are endless. But, Could it be that the creation of Licensed characters from manga/anime has triggered a lawsuit or something?...

the shutdown notice were sad, yes...but this rebranding gives me mixed feelings....like, cool, they live, but what are those terms or service requirements?...they gonna rebrand as ILL games, which stands for Innovative, Liberty and Lovely, but they ask not to mod the game?....If i get the games, i do what i want with them, if they gonna try to stop me from it, then where's the liberty in that?...

I really don't see KK dying anytime soon, and maybe in some time, something at it's level will pop out...in the meantime, i'll stick with KK and HS....

I certainly won't purchase another software when KK already exist and has a very rich mod ecosystem, plus it was mindblowingly expensive in my local currency. KK is plenty powerful to serve as my character sketching software.
