I’m really surprised you didn’t include streamlight. I love my rechargeable short version that has high and low. It’s so small and light compared to most and I have been carrying it with me everyday for almost 2 years with no issues

NGL I had a Fury it was 600 lumen, it came with a rechargeable battery first of it’s kind for SureFire, flashlight cost me like 170$ on Amazon, the tail clicker failed after like 18 months was rather pissed, I did get ahold of Surefire they did send me a replacement. Idk if they are really worth the premium. Id say their weapon lights are worth the premium though.

The Stream Light Strion has been my daily driver for about 7 years. Same flash light, crushed the body once and was able to round it back out. The only part Ive replaced is the button. I would like to see the data on its run time and lumens. It is a beast!

As a product tester and loyal customer for sofirn, "best value" sure sounds accurate! All of sofirns flashlights truly are amazing value, and durable too. Awesome video as always, drop testing is something I've always wanted to do, but my wallet thinks it's a bad idea 😂

Military grade means "the lowest possible quality that can do the job". It's almost the opposite of a seal of quality.

I have the same model by surefire. I had it warrantied once due to the LED diode becoming ruined. Kind of disappointed with it but whatever. I love my p2x fury that’s almost 10 years old now and is the best flashlight I’ve ever used.

Heyas, just curious but do UV lights use lumens or another system of rating thier brightness?
What brightness is most useful for diagnosing leaks using UV dye/ lights?

I use the streamlight strion as a mechanic and carry it in my pocket all day. I’ve dropped it countless times on the hard shop floor and even drove with it stuck inbetween a cars sway bar and got it out no damage still working today

I like a light with a clip. I have a streamlight protac2aa that has been a champ. Dropped 12 feet several times...shattered the lens a few years ago and it is still ticking. Not the brightest but a tough bastard.
Edit had it for like 7 years

A simply excellent review. Loved the way you tested them and compared them. Would really like to see you do similar reviews on the following ones: ThruNite Archer 2A V3, Lumintop Tool AA 2.0, ThruNite Archer Pro, Sofirn SP33S 5000 High Lumens, ThruNite TC20V2, Manker MC13 II SB90.2 4,500 Lumens, Olight I5T Plus 550 Lumens, Olight Baton 3 Pro 1500 Lumens, Olight Warrior 2 Mini 1885 Lumens, Streamlight 88062 Protac 500 Lumens, Astrolux FT02S 11,000 Lumens and the Astrolux EC03 6,700 Lumens.

Excellent comparison. Your channel is the closest thing I can find to Project Farm for flashlight testing. After 6 years of straight-up abuse, my trusty Streamlight finally gave up the ghost. I already have an Olight S2R for home use that I love, but it was ultimately the drop test on the warrior mini that sold me on it. The brightest, longest lasting flashlight means absolutely nothing if it can't withstand some abuse. It's why I've shied away from Thrunite as their 26650-powered lights have abysmal durability.

I own a Klarus XT11 from around 2010 that's been dropped all too often (not from 20ft though) that's still going strong during which time I've had Jetbeam's fail with far less use/abuse 😢

love the thrunite lights, have a few that I have been very hard on while working on cars for a living. they have held up very well. had an older olight that quit working randomly and the company never responded by email to fix it. always hated surefire and stream light they were decent but overpriced 15 years ago but all of the new models are awful.

I was inspired to purchase the Imalent LD70. Fell in love until I got it wet. Started acting up immediately. Not very water resistant at all. Just from a little water from my hands is all it took. Would be a good test to check on the channel if they hold up to being water resistant.

Ive had tons of luck with my old nitecore mh12 (theres new versions currently) but its been dropped of the top of an f15 multiple times, made it through the flightline and a deployment. Only thing it needed was a new battery as the positive pole got dented in and wasnt making good contact anymore. That light has ran for about 4 years now.

Just came across your videos, great content, new subscriber. Would be interested in the flat edc lights like surefire, nightcore etc. And keychain lights. Only if you can get sponsored or if it is economic for the video.
Been outta wrenching for a few years. Pretty old setup with Matco penlight. What's your light(s) as a tech?

I got an Olight as my EDC to replace a Fenix PD35 due to a reduction in size but using the same batteries. I put the Fenix on my AK, shot it at night, and it flickered and died after about 10 rounds of 7.62. I don't know if y'all have guns, but some weapon light reviews for water resistance, drop/bump durability, and ability to run during recoil. Basically, I'm curious how much I have to pay for my bedside gun's flashlight. I stopped using my AK as a bedside due to this alarming lack of reliability and use my Glock 45 with Streamlight TLR-1 HL since that light has been nothing but reliable (but is also double the price and half the size of the other two)

I loved SureFire, but they have sat on their laurels the past 20 years while other brands have passed them by... Nowadays, EDC lights like the Baton 3 Pro Max (Olight), E70-AL (Acebeam), E35R (Fenix), LD70 & MS03 (Imalent), and E4K (Nitecore) are all better performing lumen/beam-wise, all much cheaper, and every one of them better built than what Surefire offers in the EDC category...

I'm upset Olight performed so well. I wouldn't buy from them purely because I hate spam and spammers, but at least they have a product to back them up. I'm glad to see ThruNite performing well though, I very much like my ThruNite TC12. I've had it going on 7 years now. It has the squared off threads, but they must have changed their machining process since. Honestly though, I like the scratchy thread sound? That seems like a nitpick to me

My daily driver EDC is a Foursevens Preon P1 Mk III. It's only 100 lumens max, but it's the size of a chapstick so it's hard to argue with the portability
