Ответить‘’I still need a lot of work’’. Where does that live the rest of metal drummers?
ОтветитьFOR ME HE IS THE BEST METAL DRUMMER
Ответитьmoeller.....
ОтветитьGot to love the cheese voice at the ending hahahahaha
ОтветитьThe pivot point on the stick is called the Fulcrum.. great tutorial intro, thanks for the technique tips 👍
Ответить“Thanks for tuning in”
No, THANK YOU Mr Diepold for sharing this lesson.
Крутой мужик! Крутая музыка! Крутая техника игры!
Ответитьno deje de tocar por mucho tiempo Profe....
ОтветитьGracias por la traducción al español, es de gran ayuda
ОтветитьI've been working really hard on this technique after seeing guys like Diepold, Blastbeatology and Nechtan.
ОтветитьWhich was his previous technique?
ОтветитьBad idea about putting a mic in his hand!! One of those small / ears attached pics would have been perfect...
ОтветитьThis technique seems worth a try. Thanks for the video!
Ответитьis there any stick size recommendation to learn this technique ?
ОтветитьDavid: hold it a little bit behind the pivot point, like 2 inches.
Americans: wait wtf!
wanted to learn push pull because i saw david do it with obscura.
types in how to push pull blast
sees david posting a tutorial himself
well that's enough internet for today HAHAHAHAHAHAH
I've been trying to learn this for weeks now, and I have the same struggle with my strong hand. Every other note is accented, and it's harder to maintain the same dynamic. I guess, because the muscles have been programmed for years to tense up when the tempo increases. My weak hand is a lot smoother when I do the push-pull. Thanks for this vid, Marthyn. Knowing that a guy of this caliber has the same issue is pretty encouraging.
ОтветитьDavid i tried your technique but i think the second motion struggle me because i think the second motion is not complete, it need to continue to up to harm the first motion for next cycle
ОтветитьWait! I don't even play the drums. Oh, well.
ОтветитьKummerer - Munzner - Thesseling - Diepold
Will be the album of the century
One of my favorite drummers
Ответить"My right hand still needs work".
Fucking whaaaaaaaaat??
All due respect, youre an animal and one reason I've been diving into learning this genre the last couple years. Still a long way to go for me lol
Do you use your thumb alot to push the stick down?
ОтветитьI had my earbuds in full volume the end made me uncomfortable af
ОтветитьDavid not sure if you will even see this, but im curious, did you ever break your left wrist or arm (radius, ulna)? I ask this, because I oddly enough just started teaching myself the "push/pull" technique without even knowing it existed. I am right handed, and my right hand is MUCH quicker at everyhing, including regular strokes....but with this, my left arm is IMMMMENSLY faster, like triple the speed. And that is the arm I broke back in middle school, and my wrist never healed right. It can only twist itself inward so far. Its problematic in every other aspect of drumming and life....but with push/pull, the left wrist is like rookie of the year status.
Ответить"Do you wanna know how you can..." - every time I think this is an intro to a haunted house.
ОтветитьHes pretty soft spoken. Almost reminds me of Hannes Grossman
ОтветитьNew house and drum kit soon. I'll be signing up.
ОтветитьGold Gold Gold !
ОтветитьGod Bless you David
ОтветитьHe's Amazing.
ОтветитьOne of my favorite artists right now, I'd love to see him playing Dechristianize by Vital Remains, that would be great!
ОтветитьIm afraid of the day he will post his last video
Ответить6 years ago David is the one who got me into drumming. Now 6 years later im so excited to hear him speak on his technique
ОтветитьWhat the hell is that outro voiceover. Sounds like someone is staring at me from a neighboring balcony with sniper..........
ОтветитьThe monster is back !
ОтветитьDavid hurt his wrist and wasnt able to play for 2 months..that shows the determination and enormous effort excellent drummers like David have put to be where they are today...
ОтветитьI’m really happy David is getting the recognition he deserves lately, he’s such a monster player.
ОтветитьAnother great video guys- please stay safe and METAL this new year! Can you do a video with Mario from Gojira or Tomas from Meshuggah?
ОтветитьMartin dishes out enough content to last me 10 lockdowns :)
ОтветитьWhat stick size do you use david ?? .... Is it 5B or 2B ?
ОтветитьThis is impressive how even powerful strokes he can gets with 2 different motions! Thanks for sharing this interesting lesson guys! Stay safe!
ОтветитьPracticing this technique will give you better control over your hands in general. This technique will train both your wrists and your fingers at the same time. Everybody should try this imo.
ОтветитьNice and relaxed way of teaching, David! And what a splendid drum room you have there! 👍🏻
ОтветитьWould be the equivalent of swivel technique for the hands?
ОтветитьThis is open close, not push pull....in push pull the thumb is also used on the return stroke...but this is in Russia So]]
ОтветитьAwesome
