The story of the Witches is incredibly heart breaking :(. The story of the Witches is incredibly heart breaking :(.
Ответитьsome big leaps of faith inthis narrative, i'm not sure i'm with you. You talk with presence but I don't think your assumptions are acurrate at all. Cofident talk doesn't proove a point Sir.
ОтветитьI've played through this so many times and still this hit hard. Great job!
ОтветитьNo offense but the game play doesn't seem cool at all and the battle system seems repetitive in all it's games. An overly large creature jumps out of nowhere and it takes forever to beat him
ОтветитьSolaire breaks my heart
ОтветитьThis video was the perfect way to describe and explain Dark Souls 1/Remastered, it's lore, and the philosophy of it all in a way that's thought-provoking and fun to watch
ОтветитьI thought the whole izalth was a cursed place. I didn't know they were just siblings who protected and loved each other and were victims
ОтветитьDark Souls is a metaphor for trying to get through a world full of drug addicts and crackheads while not becoming one yourself
ОтветитьThe last part is excruciating 😢

Catacooooooooombs 😂
ОтветитьYou keep saying "diety" instead of "deity" lmao
Ответитьthis is awesome
ОтветитьHow do I get artorius armor?
ОтветитьLess than 200 likes. What’s wrong with you people.
ОтветитьIt’s my first 2 hours into playing and I’ve killed exactly 3 of the skeletons in the asylum. I was so excited to play this game but it’s clearly for people who are already good at video games. Lol so I’ll just watch the lore from afar. Dangit
ОтветитьMy god it's alot darker than i remembered.... None survives 😢
ОтветитьThere's a lot of sadness in the story when you string it all together neatly like that. Enough that I think all the gaps in between due to gameplay can make it seem less so. And I don't mean the overall feeling of the game, but specific moments really are quite sorrowful.
ОтветитьAs I write my DS fan comic I always come back to this video
ОтветитьSo Maliketh is maybe the nameless king?
ОтветитьBest lore video! Got me tary at the end.
ОтветитьMan I gotta say thank you. I’ve got a lot of problems and it keep up up to 5-6 in the morning some nights but this just made me tried. It’s so relaxing. Definitely gonna put it on and watch it fully in the morning!
ОтветитьAwesome video!!
ОтветитьYou are the friend I like hearing talk while I'm drawing, thank you
ОтветитьI love dark souls. I remember the first time I had finally beat the game took me about 48 hours the first time and 16 hours the second time. The story and world of dark souls is truly a masterpiece of storytelling
ОтветитьThe most comprehensive dark souls lore video
ОтветитьDark Souls is just like Destiny, a fantastic story that is told very poorly by the game lol.
ОтветитьDid they draw inspiration from berserk?
ОтветитьI have ALWAYS said that all Dark Souls lore should be made into a TV series or a movie saga. It would be better than game of thrones.
ОтветитьFair lady made me cry😢 in my play through for the first time I farmed 100 souls for her. Seeing it doesn't help I used my strongest piromancy spell to one shot her so she is freed without even know what hit her
ОтветитьPhenomenal work. Thank you. 😊
ОтветитьAbsolutely amazing video Loved every second ❤
ОтветитьPRAISE THE SUN!
ОтветитьBloody well done.
ОтветитьI had literal chills by the end of the video. Didn't even realise that I was crying.
ОтветитьI played this game in 2013. I remember blindly going places, lost for hours before finally googling where I should go, but not so much to have any spoilers or cheese things just a nudge in the right direction. I remember killing gargoyles, quelaag, Sif, ornstein and smough, and gravelord Nito. Then I got displaced from my home, lost everything... come 2014 I had an opportunity to play DS2 and in 2016 DS3... Now 10 years later playing DS: Remastered back to where it all began is such a blast from the past. Nostalgia of better days. Listening to these stories while playing is a treat.
ОтветитьThis was so awesome, thank you guys!!
ОтветитьIf he told people what is in his mind he'd probably be locked in a mental instutition, but instead he made a game out of it and became rich and respected.
Ответитьthis was put together really well, thank you, I really enjoyed and learned a lot.
ОтветитьNito Torpeto
ОтветитьThank you so much for this video. I am new to the Souls world having just played the first one. I ended up making all the wrong decisions and missed so much on my first playthrough. I am now in NG+ and have decided to go the walkthrough route just to find the content I didn't see on my first run. One aspect of the game I missed was the story. I just kept wondering "Why am I going through all this stress and dying? What is the point of all this?" You wonderfully put together the pieces that I couldn't figure out on my own. I know the diehard fans will tell me to "GiT GUd Brah" or that only real fans will grind their way through until it's clear. I guess that's not me. I ground my way through and didn't have much fun. Now I want to have fun and videos like these help a lot. This is my long-winded way of saying "Thank you".
ОтветитьBrother’s Code has completely changed my perspective on Dark Souls as a whole. This video is a beautiful piece of content that I will never grow tired of and will constantly lead me to question my actions in the various games in the Dark Souls series.
Thank you, Brother’s Code and patches is right you can’t trust clerics lol
I'm glad some people still care enough to do these. Vaati speaking style annoys me
Ответитьevery one leaves out the obvious. the abyss is kept at bay by the fire. a fact pointed out by the game itself. but re-watch in the intro. gwen , nito , witch of izalith stole lords souls from the massive fire that painted the landscape. its in the intro. where did the fire come from ? the dragons those guys killed after getting lords souls. sethe breathes ice, drakes breath lightning. you can learn how to become a dragon human hybrid from a ancient dragon but you still just spit lightning so he should only spit lightning. only the hellkite on the bridge breathes fire. the last of his kind. your 2 options omit the correct answer. rekindle the first bonfire or walk away and let the fire die out. but the correct answer is feed the hellkite the lord souls and let it burn the world once again
ОтветитьI see all the comments praising your video. I’m excited to watch it (I’ve never played DS1 & 2). I’m only a few min in, but may I give you some constructive feedback about one small thing: I think you should narrate more softly & calmly. It sounds more like you’re giving a lecture in a class, or at least giving a presentation over Zoom to a group of people lol. I know everyone is complimenting your narration; it’s really good, but I think what I’m saying is accurate. Respectfully, of course!
Actually, while typing this comment I hit the 11min mark in the video and it got much better. It feels less like you’re trying to project your voice. It’s def a giant step in the right direction as opposed to the first 10min 👏 👏. I’d just suggest trying to speak a bit more softly, bassy, and most of all with a narrower range. Meaning that the “volume” difference between your more quiet syllables and louder ones is a bit too much.
Thank you for coming to my unsolicited dorky Ted talk lol. 😅 Just trying to help optimize the content for use as sleep-stories, cuz this type of content is perfect for that (for me). 😇
🎉👏👏👏👏🥹 This was a cinematic experience! Thank you.
Ответитьcome on you cant say the age of dragons was full of despair, where did you get that from? that really cheapens the mythology of DS. It was just grey dark and unformed nobody was despairing at this. What are you talking about hope and purpose? there was no sadness either, no despair, no suffering, nothing human either. There was no life, you are talking about the age of dragons as if it is a bad thing.
